Someone who is a communist or an antifa member you mean? I don't know if there is anyone in either of those categories who'd want to be associated with such an elitist sport.
Not necessarily. You can compete at the Olympics as an independent athlete for many reasons including personal preference.

There are many people these days who consider themselves to be citizens of the world rather than tied to some a piece of land by an accident of birth. It's nothing to do with being a communist. It's just moving away from the tribal culture that has plagued mankind for thousands of years.

That is some serious commie gobbledygook.

Not sure what's more impressive, white socks with brown shiny loafers or the way he blips the throttle in corners, something that Schumacher also incorporated in his style IIRC (not the loafers and socks obviously).

Can you? Perhaps you don't know what its job is.

The halo did absolutely nothing except possibly hamper Hulkenburg's exit from his car; it made contact with nothing and nothing made contact with it.

Halo or not, there doesn't seem to be enough space to get out.
Not something I've thought about before - I supposed that this scenario would have been on the list of requirements.

Without halo it would have tipped over slightly and rested to the side away from the barrier which would have made it worse. But had it been not resting on the barrier it would have been enough to let the driver free themselves (with halo it would have been impossible still) as was the case many times before halo.

It's resting on the Halo, so no Halo then less room as it would drop down onto the nose of the car or whatever solid thing sticking up from it that can take the weight.

The Halo doesn't touch the ground at any point. You can still see the little aerofoil section on top of it fully intact.

Certainly looks like the halo is stopping him from getting out.

The FIA would say it didn’t stop him getting out wouldn’t they ?

I commented to the mrs at the time that the halo is makes the driver wholly dependent on trackside help in incidences like this, which seems instictively uncomfortable but I guess these cars are never used outside of this environment?

Did I hear whiting remark that the halo was "doing its job"?

I thought the halos job was about flying debris and cockpit intrusion such as massa and bianchis accidents?

Nothing to do with Bianchi, of debatable use to Massa.

Would have saved Henri Surtees’ life.

Would have saved Maria De Villota’s life.

Pascal Wehrlien Monaco ‘17, Hulkenberg Abu Dhabi ‘18, instances where if the physics had been a little different we could have had driver’s helmets impacting barriers...
