So Williams off to a good start... Late with the cars, scrapped the shakedown and now will miss some testing in Barcelona.

I desperately want Williams to come good again. This doesn't bode well.
Would love to see them do well but reality check says there is zero chance now and this news just backs it up - huge loss of staff, no money, leadership team has not worked for many years now. Last years poor performance was no fluke for Williams.
It amazes me that Williams, who have been making F1 cars since forever, with an engine they've had for five years, can't make it to testing on time, something must really be wrong. I wonder if Paddy Lowe has made a career move of Alonso proportions.

I thought they had rly turned it round after propping up the back of the grid

They had massa and bottas a good sponsor and seemed to be getting podiums again so whys it all gone wrong again!

Shows that Red Bull know their marketing. Bring out the car in a special one-off livery that gets them loads of social media and then revert to the tried and tested, known by everyone livery afterwards.

Lack of money, lack of factory support. Out of the small teams the haas and Alfa are basically a b spec Ferrari, Toro Rosso is a red bull. Force India is the exception.

I don’t think Williams are getting worse, I just think their competition is getting better, they can’t compete without the extra support. Last time they were properly competitive is in the BMW years

Are we staying here for the testing chatter this week or doing a testing thread?
