Whilst not completely even in that some manufacturers only have 2 teams to draw points from and others have 3 it could still be interesting.
Assuming that the best 4 positions of your engine count towards the points Ferrari could be the winners of this.
So far
Mercedes 46
Ferrari 34
Honda 16
Renault 6

So... It's Mercedes then smile

I would have been a little interested to see a honda Vs Renault battle this year, but Renault already lost that.

So far, it sort of vindicates everything that Horner and Marko said about Renault and their decision to switch to Honda power.

McLaren - Oops!

Yes looks that way. Honda are missing some easy points if Gasly was up to speed as well.

There's a good interview with Adrian Newey on Natalie Pinkham's In the Pink podcast and he explains why Horner/Marko went on the offensive when it came to the Renault situation and that it didn't work.

The name of her podcast is also pointed out by Ricciardo in the first one she put outhehe

Renault really floundering and relying on mclaren for most of their points.
Mercedes don't even need a 3rd and 4th driver to get them extra points.

Honda's biggest haul of points. All cars picking up a solid result. Ferrari really dropping the ball with only 2 points finishers. Renaults = best points haul and could have been so much better.

I loved Renault claiming this week they're level on engine power with Mercedes. Course you are, luv. Bet you've got great reliability too, eh?

I'd imagine Mercedes have enough PU oomph to run a stting great amount of downforce and still run down the straights faster than the French donkeys.

Renault were close to beating Honda on points but Sainz getting mugged at the end swung it against them.

So leaving aside the Merc works team ( who's oil burners were making noticeable puffs of dark smoke all weekend), where are Williams and Racing point then if their PU is SSSSOOOOOOO much better then the Renault PU? There were good signs for Renault PU's on a power circuit this weekend. They are all definitely converging bar the way Ferarri and Merc works teams are running them.

yes The reason Renault are so far behind in that table is that their engine isn't in a decent chassis, not that their engine is particularly poor. I don't think they've caught up with Ferrari or Mercedes in terms of power yet but I don't think they (or Honda) are far behind; especially in race trim.

That table is basically Mercedes vs Ferrari vs Redbull vs nobody, with a few extra odd points thrown in from the second division.

It is pretty meaningless.

If you remove the four works teams from the table, it looks like this:

Renault 40
Ferrari 35
Mercedes 19
Honda 17

Edited for post-race penalty effects.
