Rich Energy drop Haas. No...Really. Seriously...

13 Jan 2021 Lightning Volt Ltd.. Appointment of a liquidator

This could be amusing, as IIRC the liquidator has to publish who the creditors are, and how much they're owed. I suspect Haas and Whyte will be on the list. I'm not expecting there to be any assets to liquidate

Seeing more and more about him trying to get back into F1, what I don't understand, with all the races effectively shut down to spectators no one is driving to the tracks and using the car parks, which kinda thwarts his effort of getting back into F1, there is of course first the obstacle of asking each track if he can park a Sprinter up in their car parks with a gazebo to try and sell his products that never really existed, and whether he can sponsor his own parking spot, time will tell I guess, if they say no, then I guess he can just set up an "official merchandise" trolley outside on the pavement.

The thing that I find particularly weird is that despite the lack of cans for sale, Rich Energy have been the title sponsor of one of the top British Superbike teams since 2017 and that association is carrying on into 2021. The team is called Rich Energy OMG Racing and its a big operation.
No idea of the money involved but I doubt they would be allowing Rich Energy to head into a 5th year as title sponsor if the money wasn't forthcoming each season?
It is all odd but it seems that the BSB team have had a different experience with Rich Energy to that experienced by HAAS.

I don't think that it has anything to do with William Storey any longer. The only company of which he is currently a director, is Wolf Jerky.
He is not a director of Rich Energy Ltd. That company has a different director/secretary from Rich OMG Ltd and I am not sure how/if the companies are related.
If you go to the Rich Energy website, (richenergy.com) where you can buy the products, and click on the terms and conditions/privacy policy/cookie policy/terms of purchase, they all refer to Rich OMG Ltd, which is the motorsport term, and again Storey is not a director of that.
It appears that Rich OMG now either own the brand or have the sole rights to use it, or at least the sole rights to sell the product. I think that effectively they are sponsoring themselves to promote their own product.

The whole Rich Energy situation is very strange. How a product that appears not to exist can support a bike racing team is mysterious
Not only does the product not appear to exist, but a company that doesn't really exist, except as a figment of someone's imagination, continues to survive solely on the back of social media posts with no basis in reality. These are very strange times we live in.

Someone somewhere clearly does have the cash and the desire to build the brand for some reason, or at very least put agree amount of cash through a system that makes it clean and shiny. If there is the genuine want to still build the brand after everything that's happened so far then good luck to them, it's got us talking about it so that's a start but until they actually put a product in the shop Rich will just constantly be eyed with suspicion. They would just rename their current Williams IG. Hopefully its fake.
The old account with the Martini livery car is still online but blank other than the Williams Racing account link in it. https://twitter.com/williamsf1team?lang=enGassing Station | Formula 1 | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
