All about the level of drag.
But it isn't, is it. It's extra HP (irrespective of legality) giving low speed advantage (early straights) allied to low drag (high speed advantage).
Why have you quoted just that part of what I wrote and cut out the rest where I said exactly the same as you are now saying?

The extra 20kw probably explains their corner exit launch speed down the straights then. All makes sense - the hp figures are so close that as they're just estimates anyway, I don't think it makes much of a difference. All about the level of drag.

Because your last sentence contradicts your earlier ones.

Anyway, truce. No need for us to squabble so much, we both like the sport and I'd happily watch it with you over a beer or two.

I have mentioned PU updates previously, the last time the issue of corner exit speed was brought up. I just never believed the cheat theory..

However, it's very difficult to maintain and make points on a forum sometimes, especially when a topic drags on. I think you're right, the best way to enjoy the sport is in the company of other fans with some beers beer

It's also probably the best way to debate the sport too! smile

Easiest way to measure drag is the lift and coast sections of the track..

I was a bit confused about this more fuel in the car than stated. But it became clear this morning, with a story in motorsport.com.

It is a new requirement from this weekend for teams to declare the fuel load prior to the race, which can be randomly check by the FIA, they can also randomly check what is left at the end of the race. By knowing how much is in at the start, and how much is in at the end, they can compare actually fuel used, vs what the sensor says...

Funny how the first weekend of using it they chose to check a Ferrari!

The article in motorsport.com says the technical directive has been in force since the start of the season.
