4 to 5 hours!!!!
Blimey. Even in my keenest F1 periods I could rarely devote that level of homage to the sport on TV.
Sunday is my only day off and after working 70+ hours it’s a treat for me to pop over to Truro to Waitrose buy a nice french baguette some cold meat and cheese and just sit and watch with a nice cigar and a glass of the local doomsbar! Normally fall asleep half way through the race as well!Blimey. Even in my keenest F1 periods I could rarely devote that level of homage to the sport on TV.

However, I do probably watch about 5 hours of action each race weekend, I work for myself and do put in the hours, but I will also disappear on a Friday to crack a beer and sit through the tedium of FP1. FP2 is genuinely worth watching imo if you enjoy speculating on the outcome of quali. I will then be slightly bored by, but still watch FP3 and of course quali on the Saturday. I've thrown away 3-4 hours of life before the main event on Sunday
There are different ways of watching these days though. FP sessions I'm as likely to be half watching on my smartphone whilst walking the dog over the fields as I am to be sat on the sofa paying proper attention. Quali and the race are sacred though, and always get my full attention. Wifey even lets me watch on the 'big TV', begrudgingly.
Even at my most devoted period to F1 (probably the early to mid 1990s) I couldn't justify to myself indulging that amount of time, except on very rare occasions (the 1994 title decider in Adelaide springs to mind).
In the modern age, my F1 weekend time is now measured in minutes rather than hours.
On the other hand, I will watch hours of streamed Goodwood (although often whilst doing other things at the same time).

How have you managed to justify the time required to submit over 107 THOUSAND posts across an 8 year period on a sport you only watch for a few minutes each time it's on?In the modern age, my F1 weekend time is now measured in minutes rather than hours.

Self Employed Too - I get to watch FP1/FP2 occasionally - FP3 More often than not but definitely Qualy & Race All Live
Occasionally get to watch in UHD (Japan & Australia) but that's usually the concession to the Wife - I just get the HD and a job(s) timetable around the F1.
Will watch the CH4 highlights whilst away in Hotel room too, for objectivity (as Long as EJ is not on) - Steve Jones is growing on me.
As an aside one good show that Sky do is the Weekend Debrief with Ted and Rob Smedley.

Yes, it was announced back in September Personally I hope the existing team get it, but then you never know what someone new could do.

I don't think they have announced who will be producing the coverage though. They went out to tender in October with Round 2 interviews scheduled for late November.

Whisper have now been confirmed as the production company.Personally I hope the existing team get it, but then you never know what someone new could do.

A little bit of a warning for those that bought the NOWTV Sports package for the whole of the F1 calendar, make sure you cancel your pass as I didn't even think about it and got charged £33.99 on Friday, I went on the online chat and got my £33.99 back - my fault I know.
Also for those paying monthly... Try and cancel it online. At the final stage it offered me a discount down to £24 a month, which I took.In fact in general with Sky, if you try and cancel anything quite often the price suddenly becomes cheaper

and I assume the C4 deal only SD as before
I assume so - C4 are basically allowed to show F1 by Sky only to the extent that they act as an advert to pay for Sky to see it properly. Hence, limited highlights, SD, Sky adverts etc etc. According to this from Wikipedia, it's not going to change in 2020 - I'm assuming SD is one of the 'other restrictions':
"On 13 March 2019, three days before the first Grand Prix of the season , it was revealed that Channel 4 will not be permitted (under their agreement with Sky) to interview drivers in the "pen", hold interviews in the pit lane or hold a grid walk. Furthermore, Channel 4 must adhere to these and other restrictions in order for Sky to consider agreeing to the same arrangements in 2020."
