Rumours starting to fly that Binotto has been sacked, started with Josef Kral saying it apparently.

Given their sixth place finish last season, after being outed for cheating in 2019, the most surprising thing is how long it’s taken for heads to roll at the Scuderia.

As someone from the outside looking in (obviously), it seems to me that there needs to be some kind of deep routed, independant review and investigation into the whole way the team is run and operates, clearly what they've been doing for the past (almost) couple of decades, given all the resources and money they have at their disposal, something just isn't working.

I kind of get the impression they just aren't looking at themselves deeply enough, they seem blinkered to an actual issue. Many have alluded to "the Italian way", just look at how well they did in the Schumacher era.

I would be cautious - the evidence looks a bit thin at the moment.

We'll see what comes out of Italy today, it could simply be an expansion of the rumour Laurent Mekies will take over general trackside duties while Binotto stays at the factory more.

Senior manager was a French former WRC dominant team manager, senior designer South African working in British based team, senior engineer and team manager on track British. Dont let the Italians near the top jobs, it always goes tits up.

One of the comments from Carlos Sainz in one of the videos released by Ferrari over the last few days/weeks was very telling.

He said something along the lines "it's so big" when recounting his first impressions of Maranello. This would appear to refer to the well remarked upon nature of the sprawling complex that houses both sporting and road divisions. He's come from McLaren and even then is finding it big. Red Bull, Torro Rosso and Renault will have been much smaller, being pure F1 units.

With this in mind, it is very easy to see how Ferrari politics are a big issue. Too many chiefs and too many divisions are on top of each other. Only with a pretty ruthless dictator on top and crucially on site, can all the rival factions be firmly kept in their boxes.

Elkann has the power, but is removed. They need another Todt.

Binotto was at the FIA world council meeting in Geneva for Ferrari yesterday, unlikely to be sacked, so yes creation of a new role for him perhaps or back at the Factory on '22?

If the FIA steward was correct and they can run 100% fuel flow again, they will be potent this year.

He'd certainly bring speed to the team. And possibly other class As, too.

Charles, what's the problem with the rear of the car?

It's Lapo. He saw the bright red bodywork and the exhaust holes, and he won't stop humping it.

which was okay while the success lasted but a convenient fall guy when not, I remember during spygate some "too many foreigners in here, thats the problem" sentiments from high up, montzerella maybe?

Odd choice of timing to sack your TP even for those as batsh!t mental as ferrareh.

The nationality is secondary. A blend of Medici and Machiavelli is what it required to keep the warring factions in line.
