The rain has begun. Just in time for F3 smile
Aye, watching it while baking some bread.
Now raining so much it's difficult to see the cars... If this continues I can see F1 running being cancelled today. Really hope not.
I don't think it looks too bad at all, standing water in parts but nothing too bad-perhaps the natural gradient helps clear the bulk of it?
It's let up a little now too, and the drivers are coping very well - agree not very much standing water on the line, although visibility is causing a lot of driver complaints..

Yep. Crashing on the straights is never a good sign.

Yes. Once the first safety car bunched them all up. Further carnage was inevitable.

The rain looks significantly worse from the start of the race. Fair play to them for attempting to race.

Can't see the big boy playing out in this.

Forecast from now until late afternoon is appalling. May be a chance of qually much later.

Was talking to the wife about this, would they consider it too much risk if it makes the day too busy? As in more people coming into contact with others for Covid

Generally the same people already coming in to contact to the same extent. I think they'd run it.

To the expulsion of one of the other formulae? F1, F2, F3 and Supercup weekend.

Good point, it's a busy schedule. Would never surprise me to see F1 prioritised but there are multiple considerations in that decision. Wait and see I guess...

The P3 programme has just started, and there’s no way they’re running in those conditions.

Has been ‘delayed indefinitely‘. Does the forecast suggest they will be able to do any running late afternoon? Perhaps just enough to get qualifying done?

F1 always takes precedent, there is plenty of previous events to reference on this.

Just checking back in. I haven't bothered with Free Practice as it is the same as last week but am looking forward to Quali.

Looks like it’s going to be Sunday morning for qualifying, but will be a long afternoon of waiting around before they call it.
