It was made a year or so ago, been and gone. Why does anyone care now?

Exactly. It's PR nonsense.

It would be enlightening to see your evidence that it was Hamilton or anyone direcrly connected with him that republished this.

We'll wait.

Does Hamilton have direct connections with this magazine?

I don't really understand your point. Lewis is the one making all the song and dance about a word someone said a long time ago.

Why can't we just ignore that and talk about George Russell?

Because this is the Lewis Hamilton thread, feel free to start/join the George thread.

And unless my memory has completely deserted me, this language wasn't acceptable 1 year ago like it isn't now.

I don't know why I'm bothering though, I get frustrated with people replying to trolls and I'm doing it myself now. What do they say... don't argue with an idiot, they'll just drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Lewis answered a question, with notable restraint and dignity, about the pretty shocking stuff that has recently surfaced. I have not seen any 'song', nor any 'dance'.

Well, just a wild stab in the dark here, but it seems likely that in the Lewis Hamilton thread it's possible and perhaps even likely that the subject of Lewis Hamilton might be the main subject of discussion.

Fair enough. But to correct you, when you mean trolls you mean people who disagree with you.

It used to be ok to have a a different opinion. I'll leave though. Good luck.

An "opinion" based on poor research that can't be substantiated, isn't opinion, it's trolling. People who troll in support of bigots deserve what they get.

Yes, let's just sweep racism under the rug again and pretend it doesn't exist. It's just making a song and dance about a word isn't it?

No, we mean trolls. People deliberately making inflammatory posts to stir up argument.

You can have an opinion that Hitler was a great guy who never hurt a fly, but the weight of evidence would be against you.

(Yes, I just went full Godwin)

Well thank fk for that.

@Brianza, thanks for the explanation, I totally get it now.

I've been to South America twice (Peru, Atalaya and British Guyana (even got a hand on Brazil)), it's multicultural and integrated.

No, Hamilton PR started it. Come on, we're not naive to this.

We’re not naive… on this subject he’s chosen to comment on, he definitely is. If he’d bothered to read any of the articles about it he’d know Hamilton’s PR didn’t start it. And then it should be ignored and let’s talk about Russell instead. Got it completely wrong and the scurried off. Couldn’t even hold his hands up and admit he was mistaken. Actually he didn’t want to know or understand which of course is part of the problem.

Presumably cbop is happy for people to say all xxx people should be killed because they’re vermin, if he believes in all free speech? And that there should be no consequences to it either (I.e like people ignoring them in the future and not publishing their bile).

It’s amazing how many people are willing to interpret things a bit differently when it’s about race.
