Good on him. He gets to watch his little brother race, without being mobbed by other fans. That was Nic’s day, great result in the BTCC.
Must be terrible to be so recognisable, that you can’t ever have a day off, despite the rewards that come with it.

If they weren't willing to overturn the result for Max's first title then I doubt much is going to happen looking back to 2008.Massa is seeking legal advice after Bernie admitted that he and Max Mosley were aware of the allegations that Piquet Jr deliberate crashed in Singapore, so now Felipe Massa is seeking legal advice and is seeking to get the results of the 2008 championship overturned.

That's been doing the rounds for a few weeks, they're a bit late to the party. Very much doubt it'll come to anything. https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/massa-to-look-in...Massa is seeking legal advice after Bernie admitted that he and Max Mosley were aware of the allegations that Piquet Jr deliberate crashed in Singapore, so now Felipe Massa is seeking legal advice and is seeking to get the results of the 2008 championship overturned.

Still managed to shift it into a me, me, me thing. Could have just got on with life but instead needed the self congratulation for going to watch his brother racing. Someone has also tagged along to take photos of him watching with the purpose of then posting the picture for socials.
Big pat on the back.

Would likely have got away without the full gangster look in such an unexpected setting. Jacket done up, hood, baseball cap likely sufficient.

Jeez. I bet you're the kind of person who would also criticise him for *not* going. Still managed to shift it into a me, me, me thing. So the only difference between what he wore and what you suggest he should wear is the face covering? That's what makes it "gangster" right? :eyeroll: Still managed to shift it into a me, me, me thing. He was at a racetrack, this man would get recognised pretty much anywhere in the world, I can guarantee AT A RACETRACK he's going to get recognised even more, hence covering his face.
And in regards to his posts being self-serving, if he hadn't posted about his brother I honestly wouldn't have known how well he'd done. So he's used his media presence to bring attention to his brother's success. Fair play to him.

As ever with Lewis it is a damned if you do damned if you don't sort of thing.
I kinda get the guy above's point that he has made it about him, but has also drawn attention to little bro. Think it would have been better to put up pics of Nic racing, or celebrating after rather than portraits / selfies of himself.
(if he did this ignore my post, I'm just going on what was presented in the link)

I would have known about Nicolas' success, because I watched the BTCC coverage at the weekend. It was great to see him doing well and celebrating with his family after the race. At the time, I thought it was a shame Lewis didn't seem to be there, especially with the break in F1, so I'm really pleased to see that he was but allowed Nicolas the limelight he deserved.
Good on both of them!

Crikey, some of the responses! Not here to be controversial but that’s the way forums work, people have different views. Others have theirs and I’m not saying you’re wrong with your views. They are just different views.
For what it’s worth, I think he’s one of the greatest F1 drivers, perhaps not one of the most personable or favourite of mine, but again that’s my own view. I’m a tifosi
but some of the cringe social media stuff Charles and Carlos do, I would make negative comments about it. I’m not suddenly a hater or anti French/Spanish. It’s far too easy to chuck some race agenda just because someone has a view that doesn’t align with yours.
I wouldn’t have given a second thought about Hamilton not attending the btcc. However, he did and I looked at the social and thought it smacked of still managing to make it me, me, me.
As for appearance. I don’t think it’s really much of a stretch to make a ‘gang’ look comparison to it. It isn’t suggested he is actually a gangster! The look would likely draw more glances than going without, simply for the fact it has negative (criminal) connotations to it.
From experience you can quite easily have famous people going unnoticed if people are not expecting to see them and they are trying to be low key. No one would have been glancing around looking or expecting Lewis Hamilton to be in the crowd. As long as he wasn’t with some entourage and dressed to not stand out, the vast majority of people would not have given a second look.

I don't know if you got the memo but this is the Hamilton thread.Good on both of them!
You need to feed in an underlying racial narrative into each post somehow.
At the very minimum a comment must be backhanded.
Tsk. Wholesome content on topic. Whatever next.
What can I say, I'm a Hamilton 'fan gurl' (that's the right term, isn't it)?
Sorry, I'll
I would think he'd be thanking his lucky stars when the weather turned up as it did, an even better chance of remaining incognito continuing his wish to leave any attention to Nic & the event.
How fortuitous given the result he achieved in race 2 and subsequent acclaim.
Searching for some pics I was disappointed to see this - https://www.facebook.com/NicolasHamilton.28/posts/...
Until this year he struggled to get a license !

Nic is a great guy and talented driver, and that Facebook post puts his struggles into perspective.
And to be honest how else is Lewis supposed to go under the radar to not steal any limelight? Wear a pair of Marx Brothers’ plastic glasses, nose and moustache? Also, given the current proliferation of Covid he was likely hedging his bets for Baku.

Incredibly you managed to post "look the same" without posting "look the same"... For what it’s worth, I think he’s one of the greatest F1 drivers, perhaps not one of the most personable or favourite of mine, but again that’s my own view. I’m a tifosi
