Croft has to go

I used to feel sorry for Brundle, stuck in hot little portacabins, in hot little hell holes, with Croft blaring away for hours.
But after his attitude to the end of last season, I’m quite pleased for him.
Yes, Brundle's failure to speak out about AD was very, very disappointing, as was Damon Hill's. Two people who I've really respected for years. Still quite shocked by it, actually. I wonder if they were directly given orders in some way?But after his attitude to the end of last season, I’m quite pleased for him.
Either way, being stuck with Croft does seem like a suitable punishment. I suppose Brundle has found some way of switching off to deal with it.
If only Croft himself had an 'off' button.

nterestingly in his column in Motorsport Johnny Herbert has been most explicit with his opinion on the misapplication of the rules at Abu Dhabi but then in its editorial the Magazine has been quite disparaging too so Herbert has no concern about ruffling F1's feathers.
Funnily enough, I was re-reading that issue on a flight yesterday. Great respect to Motorsport Magazine for coming out with it and saying it for how it was.jimPH said:
Enjoyed the practice today, I thought all the commentators did a great job, but I don't understand the hate for Crofty. He's quite talented and really ups the tempo on a fast exciting race.
They've never watched a season of F1 with James Allen commentating.Crofty's alright.

Crofty's alright.
James Hunt and Murray were commentating when i first started to watch F1, I've seen them all, Croft is rubbish.Crofty's alright.
Croft is appalling.

If I had to make a tough commentator decision, right at the bottom of the league, fighting it out not to have a permanent gag fitted, it would be between Croft and Legard - everyone else is well clear of relegation.
Your rightAnd it would be Legard who would get my vote as worst commentator ever.

That's to even credit the weaksauce line as a 'catchphrase'.
Because by the same token, my catchphrase is 'must get some milk while we're out'. It's equally as ubiquitous, just as catchy, and also an empty phrase that doesn't really impart any meaning beyond the obvious.
Perhaps if I shout it in your face every Sunday we could put it on a T-Shirt.
Depends if you could earn a living from shouting 'must get some milk while we're out'. If so, then its probably worth putting on the wall! Careful in your sentencing, I wonder if being forced to work alongside such cretins for ~20 years odd has drained the life, vitality and inspiration from Brundle, the commentary partnership equivalent of a succubus.Franky I'd sack the entire team. Nominations for a whole new line up anyone? Different thread I guess.
I had never heard of her so I had to use Google. I was surprised to see that although she's only 27, according to the records she hasn't raced since 2020 so she'd have been approx. 25. Seems a very young age to pack up racing, if that's what you've worked towards, and become a media bod and spokesperson.

Naomi is very easy on the eye It appears the Sky approach for 2022 is to double down on the banal, hence the show last Monday which was an hour of pointless wittering.
In contrast the F1 TV team seem to have got past their missteps with YTS trainees staring gormlessly at the camera and the presentation of Rosanna Tennant, Sam Collins and Will Buxton seems to work. Buxton and Baretto are a bit strange but their knowledge is definitely there and most importantly they keep it relevant and on subject. Sam and Rosanna are absolute jewels and set the standard very high.
