Croft has to go

Another painful race having to listen to him.
Screaming and shouting.
Lame reference to corner names and shoe horning them into a comment.
Kept trying to have a dig at Ted about his F1 driving experience for some reason. Ted handled well just closing comments down. Croft didn’t like the suggestion he was slower. Surprised he fitted in an F1 car!
Yeah that was really weird. The digs at Ted came across very poorly, awful attempt at banter and then demonstrated he can dish it out but can't take it when he got all defensive about his own pace in the car. Screaming and shouting.

I actually hate David Croft a lot less than some people. However, how many times today did he call drivers as being on preparation laps when they were actually flying laps, just not particularly quick ones? And if he wasn’t getting that wrong he was suggesting drivers on flying laps could simply stay out for another. It’s like he completely forgets how modern F1 cars work.

You can't forget what you never knew.I think Damon was probably either at the end of a contract or even more was sim-ply seen as not relevant, odd considering Brundle has even less assocaition really other than a long media career.
I would imagine we find out in time what the deal was, Herbert was certainly not a willing cohort in his leaving, and I would think Hill was probably a combo of the two.

Seeing rumours that both Brundle and Crofty to follow. Seems odd. Brundle was being pretty chippy in some of his commentary this weekend….
I’ve just been reading about that. Getting rid of Croft is long overdue. Getting rid of Martin would be a mistake. He could be retained as a pundit rather than race commentator bSmollet said:

Martin Brundle brings a lot to the coverage. Not just his (admittedly dated) experience from way back when, but his ability to compare and contrast that with today's Formula 1, plus he's knowledgable, humorous and well liked.
It's not clear to me what, if anything, Croft brings to the table...

Crofts skill is in making us appreciate Brundle an awful lot more! It's not clear to me what, if anything, Croft brings to the table...
They could replace Croft with the sound of two balloons being rubbed together and significantly improve the experience.
