Croft doesn't register as annoying at any level on my scale. I've been watching since about '93 and there's been plenty worse.
Yes he likes stats but it doesn't raise my BP.
James Allen was worse, despite being superb in other roles. Jonathan was worse with his "from Coulthard, from Irvine, from Schumacher"

In fact there isn't anyone who annoys me in the slightest out of the whole Sky team.

Chillax babes! biggrin
Croft is so bad that I pay for F1 TV even though I get Sky for free.
You also get annoyed at peas, so this doesn't surprise me thumbup
The pea thing is a bit of PH fun.

Croft, however, is not. He's not fit for purpose.

This thread is quite remarkable in demonstrating a level of delusion and lack of analytical skill among many of those posting their ongoing blather. Croft is fine. We see the same sort of crazed viewer behavior in all of televised Motorsport. So many watchers think they are broadcasting experts when in reality, most do not have a clue.

He pissed me off almost immediately by mangling Kipling’s “If” at the start of quali. If he was aiming for educated, he missed and landed squarely on tt.

I can absolutely guarantee you I could do a better, more informed. less shouty job than Croft, with a bit of training.

Screeching about it all going wrong for Russell as he got out of shape at the last corner last lap of qualifying

Perfectly in sync with the timing screen showing Russell jumping up from 5th to 4th

Bloke is an absolute idiot, with no awareness of what’s actually happening

Because he seems incapable of understanding that a moment’s silence is absolutely fine, he is so often gibbering on about some inane statistics that he either misses what’s going on, or can’t stop himself prattling to actually commentate on the action. I’m seriously looking into F1 TV plus VPN for next season.

It's over for F1 TV after today; it's going to move to Apple TV.

I find the F1 TV commentator even worse than Crofty now. This year he has started screeching anytime anything is happening.

So with all the money floating around we have to choose between shouty and screechy.

The chap who covers Crofty from 5live is pretty decent. They just seem enjoy pairing him with Chandhok who is so, so dull. I think even Paul di Resta may have been a better colour commentator.

I now have the option of F1TV commentary on the Kayo feed, unfortunately it's only for the race, I've had the pre race show on mute as I was getting a headache from Croft!

His stats throughtout the whole race were so bloody annoying! It's a shame his spilling of water on his notes yesterday was not terminal. Maybe if he looked less at his stats page he might be able to tell the difference between Lewis and Charles during the race. Blundle must have been wetting himself at that point!

Just pick a location that doesn't need Apple, ie not the USA. Just the same as Sky in the UK.

I tried Netherlands this weekend as a test and it worked absolutely fine.

I'm not clear on this. Is F1 TV continuing?
