Woah, maybe don't put spoilers in this thread.
seriously? If I am going to watch C4 highlights then, in effect, I go into purdah. As everything these days is splashed across most news media. I just would not go anywhere near anything Motorsport related.
And the there is a Croft shouting from your neighbours TV.

The BBC are quite good with their spoilers. Usually they manage to get out “And Lewis Hamilton ...” before you get to turn it off.

Since the BBC dropped F1 they have been very keen to put out the result spoiling it for anyone who recorded the race or intends to watch the C4 program. As for spoilers on this thread, I have to say anyone who does not want to know the result of a race but dips into a thread called 'Crofty has to Go' must be daft!

I have come to terms with Croft shouting at the start and end of the race as that is used as the promo for formula 1 on sky...it is annoying but he will never stop as sky use it to make viewers think wow what an action packed race
Nothing to stop them recording him shouting separately to the live coverage. If it really is the case that he does it because SKY to tell him to then they are as big a set of wallopers as Croft and Brundle. Hoping to entice some non-payers in at the expense of trolling those of us who already pay for the coverage is not on.

I do think that this is a bit unreasonable.
I think its the ultimate expression of the entitled self absorbed species we've become, the mrs keeps getting agg off tw@tter/faceberk people having melts when she posts something about the f1. I mean how much of one do you have to be to think people should self-ban themselves from chatting in public about the race until you personally have decided to watch it? swisstoni said:

Yes, that really pisses me off.The BBC are quite good with their spoilers. Usually they manage to get out “And Lewis Hamilton ...” before you get to turn it off.
They consider football fans and warn them when results are coming up, but they seem to think that F1 fans don't care.
Sorry, I am late into this discussion, I googled it and can't find the answer, but I assume ( by the ¨shouty¨moniker ) that it is he, who also ruins my viewing of the F1 website clips that feature on youtube.
God forbid that SKY give him the Boot & he somehow ingratiates himself with C4, THE MAN IS A TOTALLY EXHAUSTING NIGHTMARE , to be merely tolerated , whilst lowering the volume and hoping you can work out what is going on , alone.

It wasn’t always like that. Older members will remember The Likely Lads episode where they go through hell trying to avoid the football results.

This is why I always try to watch live.https://youtu.be/MEumvfKaL_w
Back in 1986 we had a housewarming party over the Adelaide weekend. We asked the outlaws to look after our dogs and recorded the race on the VHS. Hangover dealt with, house tidied the outlaws return with the dogs and FiL greets me with “What a shame about Mansell”.
Like his tyres, I exploded.- and it is now 10-times harder to avoid a result during the few hours before the C4 highlights.

Oh god. He’s the lead presenter for the darts on sky! Much less shouty though to be fair.
I imagine that he could be quite good at that. Lots of time to actually understand if the dart hit the Bull, or triple-20. Plenty of beer to top up the belly.Fortunately, i do not ever think of watching that “sport”.
