Horner had excellent relations with Both Ferrari and Mercedes. He hasn’t tried to de-stabilise either, at all, ever

I wouldn’t be too pleased about that. RBR has been the only team giving Mercedes any kind of test for some time now.

If they’re damaged, you really must question the point of F1 altogether as a sporting championship.

So unless a new supplier comes in, the options are crawl back to Renault, or try for Mercedes/Ferrari.

As above, burnt their bridges with Renault but currently would be the second best engine. Would Merc want to provide engines to a team that could genuinely beat them? Ferrari wouldnt want to be beaten by a customer team either.

Wasn’t there a rule brought in that obligated PU suppliers to supply a team without an engine, possibly the manufacturer with the fewest customers?

I was at Silverstone on Wednesday and saw the Aston Martin Valkyrie doing some testing at lunchtime.
A stunning creation from the mind of Adrian Newey.
So how about
Stroll senior,Aston Martin,Mercedes power,Vettel plus Adrian Newey.
Now that would be an interesting combination for 2022.

All of the “making F1 tech road car relevant” is killing the sport.

Road cars are clearly moving towards electrification so no point in developing ever more complex hybrid power trains.

Exciting and powerful F1 engines could be available at a fraction of the cost.

We might have to say goodbye to many of the manufacturers but that might just be evolution.
