Hi all - Just received my new Oled TV - a lovely LG 55CX5LB. Whilst I get the core set up done does anyone have a link or recommendations for the perfect picture set up?
Sound is via Sonos sound bar, sub and 2 rear surrounds.
Also any other good hints and tips for the TV? Got to fiddle about and get the Sky remote also operating etc...

Only commenting as I'm about to buy a 55CX too. In the shop at least it was fantastic compared to the others I considered.

Cheapest I could get was from costco at £1319 with 5 years warranty and a free pair of LG rear buds for ordering online

Probably worth checking out Avforums as i'm sure they'll have a specific area just for that model...

I have a CX and have effectively done the same - I use Cinema or isf dark room with any eco and motion processing stuff turned off. It’s a superb screen.

Turn off SOE (Trumotion) immediately.

Then redact it from the instruction manual.

Then nuke it from space.

Consider holding fire if you can. The cost of new TVs follows the same pricing strategy every year - top dollar on first release in the spring, slight reduction for the summer months and a further drop for the Black Friday to Christmas period before finally being sold off to clear old stock in spring and beyond. Whether Coronavirus will change this remains to be seen, particularly given the impact on the supply chain, but I expect it'll only delay things a bit if at all. The effect might not be significant anyway given that the LG CX started out of the block slightly lower than previous years anyway.

If you've got a Star Wars DVD or BluRay, they'll have the THX setup guide on them. It'll help get all the settings correct.
