DB9 windows, yet again!!
Discussion
OK sorry about yet another DB9 windows thread..
I am trying to sort the following, my 2005 model where the drivers window only staggers up and down, requiring lots of button pressing to get it down (min 4) and many short sharp presses to get it up, and if you wait too long on a press it behaves like it has jammed and you need to go down a bit to allow it to go up again!!
Remove the regulator and apply current to male contact pins and it works fine in both directions.
When I checked the motor it did have water in it and some corrosion, now dried and cleaned.
I have now seen a vid on Youtube that says I need to change both door modules to sort the problem.
Does anyone know is there a cheaper option?
Cheers for any help.

I had tried another drivers door module which changed nothing.
Then I saw this and kinda despaired :

How does the car know that the passenger one has not been changed??

Just in case anyone has the same problem, I thought I would feedback.
There was nothing really wrong with the regulator except the motor which had had a bit of water in.
Of course that spawned the gremlins!
I changed the regulator (and hence the motor) and all is now well again.
Thanks for the help everyone.

ps AM garage did indeed say it would be the DDM, so a few quid saved!
