Utterly life threatening IMHO, those speeds are what, 200mph? Said it from the start, he's just not F1 material. I get that he's 'fast' in F2 terms, on his day... but fast in terms of F1 requires a driver to be able to operate at 200mph and have some mental capacity retained for things such as strategy, safety, forward planning the next section or maneuver, talking to their engineer. He simply doesn't seem to extend far enough to do all that. He literally either drives way off the pace and is sort of ok-ish, or approaches Mick's pace and becomes lethal as a result.
It isn't even a criticism, it's just an observation. I do think the FIA could do with observing the same before someone gets hurt.

I suppose we should in theory wait for Mazepin's take on why he twitched.. But it's so far from the first time he's been dangerous and we're only 6 races in!

As much as he is a tool on track at times, Mercedes were genuinely impressed with his pace when he did that test a while back in their car. He does have genuine speed but it seems that he's either overdriving what is a st car this season, or while Mazepin isn't all that great, maybe Mick in an F1 car is also really really good.Said it from the start, he's just not F1 material. He's just not F1 material. Everything he's done, or failed to do since arriving in F1 points to that.

Was his jink any bigger than bottas at imola?
It's the intent surely? Not the extent. Although to me both look about the same, approx half a cars width of jink.Mazepin was moving across the track already in what looked to me a manner which suggests he was aware Mick was approaching - and I'd expect his engineer would have let him know his own team mate was within striking distance.. if so then for both their sales he should have been actively avoiding anything that could trigger a contact at such speeds.
We can't say for certain if it was a fault this time, or any of the other endless incidents so far this season where he's pissed off other drivers by creating potentially very dangerous situations. But if only a third of such occasions were 'his fault' then he'd rightfully have earned his reputation as chief F1 bellend..
