I dearly hope it isn't, it's just, well..............Awful vomit
I don't really care what colour they paint it if it's quicker than last years car ,,, I suspect that may be too much to hope for!

Indeed

& if it as Gunther says about the colours & that HAAS is Amercian, then he wont complain swapping the red & blue around so it doesn't blatantly display a Russian flag

It's certainly blatant but what rules does it actually break?

Looks like a piss poor attempt at photoshop, I would have hoped Williams would have a proper render, rather than something that looks like they've used the brush tool.

But they haven't have they? What is displayed is extremely similar to the Russian flag. But also arguably legitimised by the fact it's even more similar to the brand that's paying or it to be there

the engine cover has a Russian flag (in order white/blue/red of equal width) at 45 degrees

the Uralkali logo is (or was until very recently, so recent that they haven't even updated their main website) green & red

That's why they're looking into it. They haven't yet said that they have or have not done something that would be against the rules, just the reason why it's being looked at.

It will be interesting to see, though, where they draw the line between nationalism and commerce.

That might look better in person but I doubt it, it looks like it was designed in the F1 2020 game! More shocking how few sponsors they have than anything else.

Looks pretty generic to me like a car in a racing game that couldn't actually call itself an F1 car because the maker didn't have the rights if that makes sense.

Consider some of the lookers on the grid this year, it's going to be hard for that to stand out but I wish them well, would be nice to see George able to genuinely compete for points on a regular basis.

I agree, still it looks ok to me and all the cars look pretty different. Overall a good looking grid. Look forwards to seeing them sandbagging and doing silly fast laps in testing.

At least there's no Rich Energy on the Williams. It does look a bit Racing Game Livery no.3 though.

Haas v Williams 2021. Haas with the minimum effort 2020 car and supposedly better Ferrari engine. Williams first full season with the new guys in charge. Place bets now!!

I'm aware that very recently changing their logo to look like the flag, for the sake of having the flag on the car when they're not allowed to is VERY underhanded. However, whatever their true motivation, as a sponsor it's up to them what logo they use on the car. It can't be disproven that it's their logo if they say that it is.

Naturally, it would be a good idea if they changed it on their website too! Just for the sake of making the their manipulation of the rules a little less blatant...

Certainly no shortage of drama surrounding Mazepin jnr as he slithers awkwardly in to F1!

It's up to them only within the rules that are applied. The FIA are signed up to the WADA agreement, so ultimately it's their call whether it breaks any rules or not. They've stopped a whole nation from competing at the Olympics, so I don't think they'll have any trouble stopping one team from running the banned flag on their car if that's what they choose to do.
