None of the obvious support races this weekend either. Anyone know what else is running on the track at Portimao?

EuroFormula Open again, and Campeonato de Portugal de Velocidade (think that's a mix of GT and touring cars)..

Formula Regional by Alpine also back, and the first rounds of that were worth a watch. Three races for F3 and two for Formula Regional means that it's actually quite a busy weekend.

F3 qualifying on in 40 mins or so.

Sky showing a very good interview with Trevor Carlin at the moment, talking about all the drivers he’s seen come through the ranks in a couple of decades of running teams in junior formulae. Nice little workshop he has there, alongside a massive trophy cabinet in his office!

That was good, six hundredths covering the top three and half a second the top dozen.

Now to work out what happens tomorrow, with the new reverse rules.

Shame that the F3 race is going to finish under the SC, but definitely not a processional race - good opener.

Good start to the F3 season, shame they weren’t a little more enthusiastic in removing that car from the kitty litter at the end.

Some good racing there, some of them could teach one or two supposed top flight racing drivers a thing or two about situational awareness...

I've jinxed them for race two now haven't I?

Well that was carnage biggrin

Gonna get a bit spendy if F3 carries on all season like this!

Another good F3 race.

Cracking win for Caldwell - did a good job of gaining places this morning and the same again this afternoon - in exactly the right place to benefit from the top 2 taking each other out.

Yes, and to have the courage to go back to F3 from F2 to get back into it - I thought that was very mature and sensible.

It is always nice to see that amongst the squabbling on the F1 thread(s), there is always a consensus that some topics / actions / people garner the appropriate recognition and respect.........and they tend to be the things that really matter.

Schumacher, Fittipaldi, Nannini, Doohan, Leclerc. It's like Family Fortunes out there.

Isn’t it just! Amazing to see all those familiar names.

Finally caught up this morning on yesterday’s races, certainly an exciting start to the F3 season when five cars lead the last three laps!

Formula Regional by Alpine on Youtube at 0950 (BST), followed by FIA F3 on Sky at 1105. Suspect these will be the races to watch today.

Aaaaaaaannnd farts out.

Why don't they let a proper TV station carry it?
