Hamilton is a heavy as the tallest drivers. He’s obviously decided to carry his ballast as muscle.
Lewis clearly spent some time in the gym, when they changed the weight rules.

Tsunoda, at 54kg, must need a seat made of lead! He’s more than two stone under the weight limit.

PlanetF1 are reporting that Wolff has told Russell’s management that he’ll be in Bottas’s seat next year.

Ironic as this means Toto informing himself, but I guess it’s a process / legal thing.

Russell is a member of the Mercedes AMG Junior Team, but isn't personally managed by Toto.

That's if Russell signs a contract isn't it? His Williams contract ends this year, does he have a separate contract with Mercedes that has the power to restrict his drive options or is there scope for a Red Bull contract for 2022 to land in his inbox too?

I am pretty convinced that Russell will be driving Mercedes next year. If not however, I would absolutely love to see him in a Red Bull with Max, I think the pair of them would make Bottas look very silly and easily win the constructors title.

Either way, being stuck in the Williams for a couple more years is at utter waste of his time and talent.

Going to Red Bull would be terrible for him. Yes, he would probably be very good. But RB are not afraid to favour one driver over another, and Max is their golden boy. Not just for his talent, but the orange army which he attracts.
At Mercedes I expect they will do everything they can to ensure he gets equal treatment. Even if he doesn’t quite match Lewis, there is every chance he will inherit the role as team lead when Hamilton retires.

He's their golden boy because he's very good. If George was better, do you really think they'd continue to 'favour' Max over George and potentially jeopardise their championship chances?

Valterri to blame for the pit stop for stopping short was Toto's response for some days until the media team told him to correct it. Lewis not to blame for pressing the button because Lewis doesn't make mistakes was Toto's response.

Sounds 100% equal treatment...

Don't get me wrong, it's pretty justified to 'favour' (whatever that means beyond getting upgrades first if there's only 1 available) the better driver, I have no problem with it, I'm just pointing out I don't think Merc is all about everything being equal for both drivers as you suggested.

Just for the sake of clarity I also don't think for a second they're hampering Bottas or anything like that (again, they wouldn't compromise their championship chances in any way).

That's quite a proclamation.
Presumably he meant emaciated?!?!
With the combination of my dyslexia and autocorrect seemingly designed by Satan himself they should be gratefull they weren't emasculated.
laugh

Maybe you'd be onto something. F1 might employ eunuchs to save weight.

Let's ask Mr Ricciardo?

Been there, done that. Verstappen was faster than Daniel, less consistent. Easy to read that as Verstappen had more potential. Easier to make a fast driver more consistent than to make a consistent driver faster. Red Bull have always favoured the fast driver over the consistent one.

That's a fair call.

I'm impressed by how quickly Perez is getting upto speed.

Agreed. Being paired with Max is going to show just how good he really is.

He's mostly been a long way off Max, got lucky with the win last time out but he's hardly set the world on fire. To be fair he said he expected he'd need 5 or 6 races to get up to speed, so it will be interesting to see how he gets on from here.

He hasn’t been on top of things throughout but he’s had a pole and a win on merit so I think he’s doing well, and seems to have clicked with the car in Baku.
