I enjoy playing it on the Playstation more than watching it sadly... I will still watch it of course...........
That's why it's such an ahole of a weekend. We're all obliged to watch it as it is a part of this season's story... Despite the fact that in and of itself, it's unutterable turd.

The mind boggles as to how the French F1 fans haven't protested it yet - they must have noticed their national GP is universally disliked yes

The most annoying thing is that they have 10,000 available layouts, but can’t find one that suits the cars in race conditions!

We all should be because it should not be a Merc 1/2..

It would be great if Charl could bang it on pole for 3 in a row..?

Landos/Carlos first win??

It’s not been this close at the sharp end since 2012.. could the front runners out fox themselves.

Technically a very interesting circuit..shame about the visuals..

Hopefully FOM will stick to the onboards rather than the overheads wink

Why they don’t they put the paddock’ (hangers on, not the teams), socially distanced on say La Croisette, I’ll never know, could easily be the biggest event in F1..

But cheaper than dropping some LSD for pretty much the same effect

You’re paying too much for your LSD or I’m paying too much for my F1 coverage

The F1/Pirelli investigation has found no fault in the Red Bull car and the tyres were within Pirelli's parameters (presumably for tyre pressure)

So that leaves debris damage or a tyre defect?

Pirelli have no way of measuring tyre pressures when the tyres are on the car and going around the circuit, so the implication is that Aston, Red Bull and others are running below the minimum tyre pressures.

The impression I got from the Pirelli point of view was that it was a structural failure caused by the way the teams were using the tyre. They can't prove the teams are going outside of the parameters when the tyres are being used (other than the fact two of them were in the wall, of course).

I don’t think the teams would run below the minimum pressure. It’s well known they like low pressures, and it’s well known that the tyre companies always have to set minimum pressures because of this? I don’t think it’s something the teams would do.

From the 'we have worked closely' wording I took it as Red Bull handing over the tyre data from the race. Aren't they able to read pressures and know if there's a slow puncture or developing tyre issue? Red Bull have already said they had no warning the tyre was going to go.

Tyre pressures and temperatures are logged constantly and available to Pirelli and the FIA.

The Motorsport article says; "F1 teams are currently only required to run tyres at a minimum tyre pressure when they are first fitted to the cars, as there is no requirement for them to maintain pressures once a car is out on track.

This means that the door is open for teams to find ways to lower the pressure once checks have taken place, but such a reduction in pressure means the tyre is put under more stress."

Is it legal for the teams to run below the Pirelli mandated pressures?
