On race Sundays, my wife and I have decided that for lunch we are going to make something from the host country.

So, we are planning on cooking shrimp on the barbie for Australia.

Anyone else want to join and share their creations/abominations?!

I’m sure I remember some else doing this years back, or it could have been having a drink from the host country?

Fun idea though, might dip in and out of it rather than commit to a full season

I doubt we'll do a full season. There are some countries where I have no idea where to even begin!

We get this every Tuesday at work if it's a race weekend, the hot options are themed to the host country.

If you're really keen I don't imagine it'd be a problem to give the thread some suggestions if I rememebr hehe

Presumably you work for a F1 team?!

It could be useful for ideas and enough time to work out where to get some of the potentially less common ingredients!

Yep, I can't vouch for the authenticity of the meals but they're certainly varied and very nice indeed hehe

Bump the thread on the Monday before or something to remind me and I'll check the menu for you smile

Back when Aus was the first race, the BBQ was the dream but the time of year and time of day made that awkward!

I don't think I've ever watched the Monaco GP without champagne though, and for the last several years the US GP has been about burgers smile

For the French GP we usually eat whatever we have instead of paying full attention. It's so st.

I'm guessing you know that no-one does put shrimp on a barbie here (shrimp isn't a thing in Aus)...

If you want a decent meal, try a chicken parma https://www.taste.com.au/recipes/easy-chicken-parm...
