I hope that's his run of bad luck done for awhile.
Probably until the next Monaco GP...

At home too!
He seems to be cursed at Monaco - I don't think he's ever finished a race there (Atleast in F1).

It didn't look like brake failure!
It looked to me like the rear locked up as he turned in and swung it around?! Which would be consistent with a brake failure?

Looks to me as if the brakes failed and the gear selected locked up the rears...

Leclerc's accident in the historic looked like he had little to no braking from the front to my eyes.

If I keep predicting Sainz for Grand Prix win then I have to be right some time?

If Ferrari aren't fastest in Barcelona then unfortunately I suspect we're in for a bit of a Red bull domination for the rest of the season.

I think your second prediction is probably likely... And will scupper your first smile

Nice pic showing the discs and/or pads exiting stage left just as they were needed.

I've gone Leclerc on the grounds I don't want any team to ever dominate a year so it will keep things interesting - which is "hoping" rather than "predicting"!

That mildly concerning.

So it's true? He's never once finished a race in his home town?

Might help if I reply to the right topic - wondered why I couldn’t vote biggrin

Barring accidents and mechanicals, I can’t see past a Red Bull win this weekend. So let’s hope for either - just kiddin’ tongue out

LeClerk’s record around Monaco is a surprise to me, I didn’t realise it followed him from F2. If only the commentary team would occasionally mention where he’s from, I might be able to work out if it’s his home race or not wobble

Anyway, thanks Mr Poke, looking forward to this one, Miami already feels like a long time ago.

I hope he gets on better when he's driving around his home town on a normal day..

ETA: If you tweet/message that list to the Sky team (Crofty) during a quiet point in free practice I reckon it'd get a mention. It's the sort of stats he gets a hard on for and then repeats endlessly.

Are you saying CLC is from Monaco?

I think he is. I think it was mentioned by the commentators a while back.

In fairness I feel sorry for him. I bet he wishes the whole media circus would get over it and stop making him the focal point of the weekend each time. Clearly it's not gone well at home so far so it must be quite irritating to be hyped and the centre of attention each time - apart from the day it finally, hopefully, does all go right of course.

Good luck Charles. You'll see that chequered flag one day. Probably.

I didn't until I read this thread. Monegasque apparently means someone from Monaco. Charles is a dark horse. Cavalliino Rampante. biggrin
