I can think of four or five drivers who would beat MV in similar machinery. I may not have LH at the top of the list, but he's certainly on it.

Red Bull would 100% take Hamilton, they are just a marketing tool for a fizzy drink afterall. What better than to sign up the best driver from their rival both in f1 and fizzy drinks.

Now that didi is dead the corporate machine will override whingey spice and bogeye.

In what way is Mercedes a rival to Red Bull in fizzy drinks? I know they have Monster as a partner but hardly a title sponsor (in fact, can't see it anywhere on the car just a tiny logo on the neck fastening of the race suits)

Would Mercedes take on Max?

If Hamilton is on the market and a you have the funds to pay him, any team would be absolutely insance not to try and snap him up.

Not in addition to Max, no. Like Mercedes wouldn't add Max and Lewis, it is counter to their strategy.

More likely 7 one year contracts and just doesn't want a new one, not that we'll ever know or that it's any of our business.
Most likely she'd like to have left in the off season and Lewis asked her if she'd mind seeing out her contract.

Interested to know who is on your list as well as Max.

All that matters is who Max Verstappen thinks can beat him and at this moment, I believe he doesn't think anyone can.

(In alphabetical order, to hopefully forestall some of the criticism that inevitably follows a post like this):

Alonso
Hamilton
LeClerc
Norris
Sainz
Vettel

Yes, sorry, I know that's 6 - and one has retired.

Sad to see Ang leaving, she's been a massive part of Lewis' team and I've no doubt she'll still be a big part of his life. I wonder if she'll have any involvement in the new academy Susie Wolff is heading up. Perhaps in an advisory capacity. If anyone knows how to structure a successful racers life it's her and I'd assume she's built a good relationship with both the Wolff's over the years.
That’s a really good shout, she’d be brilliant at putting together training programmes for the young girls in the Acadamy, getting them in the mindset of being physical athletes. Susie should give her a call this morning.

Agreed, I also find it amusing that Russell is not on the list, yet many claim he is better than Hamilton!

I'm not so sure, the question you have to answer first is why do red bull flatter max so much? They could have just about any driver they want, so why when most TPs are ruthless about drivers are RB "committed" so much to max to the exclusion of all else? It goes significantly beyond any team/driver pairing I've witnessed and yes that includes schu/fez, it's like the team is run for his personal benefit. That it's achieved success in the couple of seasons they've had the top car is besides the point.

I ponder if the answer lies outside the sport and in his fathers relationship with mateschitz, but that would involve what's known as "allegations"smile

Not sure about Sainz and Vettel, Russell finished ahead of Norris in F2 (and without checking, I think F3 as well?) But Norris is better? Agree about Alonso and Hamilton though. Alonso has been hamstrung by poor cars the past few years. If Aston can keep up their development throughout the season we could see an Alonso win if RB have an incident or any mechanical woes.

That's the trouble with modern F1 though. You can predict which car is going to win, unless a crash, mechanical failure or penalty befalls the driver(s),

Danny Ric is apparently in Faenza and not on hols. Mid-season replacement for Nyck DeVries?

Doubt it. More likely that he is doing his reserve/sponsorship work/filming etc ready for Imola which is just down the road.
