Based on the experience of a friend, don't buy ludicrously overpriced chips, walk down close to the track and open them just as a Ferrari goes past at full pelt, unless you prefer gravel on your French Fries....

(Unless the new regulation cars are more chip friendly!)

No bicycles are allowed in this year not even on the Thursday or Friday.
The perimeter access road is now open past the front of what will be Escapade between Copse and Becketts.

My ticket gives me free access to the BRDC golf buggies which at least takes us from the farm to the clubhouse

We are going Friday - Sunday with grandstand tickets in Stowe A, uncovered so hope it’s dry!

Glamping near Whittlebury Hall, and not been to F1 at Silverstone for 20 years. I remember being staggered at how the cars looked on rails through Maggots/Becketts so we’ll watch from there at some point through the weekend.

5am start Friday to get there for FP1 - bring it on !!

First time there and watching from, it was the first corner I ever raced at so had to be the place for me this time. Going Friday to Sunday, what time do I need to arrive by I have car parking but no clue where it is. Do they put transport on or is it walkable. If I aim to get there from 8:30 would that be too late or should I be aiming to arrive much earlier?

Depends which car parking you have. Car park 1 is the ones closer to the circuit and are walkable in to the circuit. Car Park 2 are further away and they lay on a shuttle bus to get you to the circuit gates.

No idea how I find out which one I’m in.

Your parking pass should give you an indication of which car parks are available to you and how close they are to the circuit. I've got parking 1, so the car parks highlighted on my pass are the ones closest to the circuit (without being on the infield)

Slightly confused - I booked this yonks ago and looking at my tickets (Fri/Sat ) I have general admission both days and fast track on Saturday. What does this actually mean about where I park ? I haven't specifically booked parking , assuming I'd just have a slightly longer walk in . Any help appreciated . Thanks .

Just says follow the blue route, quite amateurish the signs that anyone could print tbh.

Mine says that too, so I would assume you are in Parking 1 which is the closer ones to the circuit (no shuttle)

These cars are really very quiet, I don't think ear defenders are necessary. When Brundle does his trackside bits for Sky, he doesn't have to raise his voice.
Agreed. The Porsche Cup cars are louder at the moment

It's looking a bit touch and go for the GP now if I'm being honest. ####ing covid caught up with over the weekend. Day 6 now and still a banging headache, sweats/shivers, sore throat, cough. Not really leaving it much time to get better :@

You’d better phone Nico Hulkenberg to go in your place, he’s used to doing that.
