Must admit Rick Astley at the Classic this year was very good too. Thanks for your interest. And don’t call me Shirley.

My wife has managed to get tickets today for the 3 days as a 40th birthday present for me but I have told her I’m not tenting or travelling. I have got access to my old man’s caravan but after 30 minutes of googling for a pitch I gave up, it’s as clear as mud.

Can anyone who has gone before recommend a place to stay or have I missed the boat already? In which case I have got 2no tickets for sale…..
We've stayed at Dadford Road Campsite last 2 years, 30-40 mins walk to circuit, take a bike and a lock, much easier to get to/from circuit.

Won't be going next year, ticket prices gone from circa £400 to closer to £700 for my son and I (he's 12).

Dadford have also increased their prices massively, last year was under £300 for 4 nights pitch with hook up, next year it's £675 for a piece of field with minimal sanitary facilities considering how many people they let on the site, when I say site, it's a working farm the rest of the year.

Absolute p*55 take all round, but as long as people are willing to pay it, it won't change. Can I afford it? Yes. Do I like having my pants pulled down? No.

It appears that "pulled a blinder" is the current vernacular, not "taking the p155" biggrin

I’m staying at silverstone farm, £350 for 5 nights with electric hook up. Not particularly cheap as pitches go but considering the circumstances I’m happy with it, it’s certainly better than having to travel every day.

Hello? Is it me
He was indeed very good in Abu Dhabi. We stayed all night long to watch the show, and by the end we were dancing on the ceiling!

an arrive Friday boggo pitch is £158 vs this year's £105 so a significant jump, although with everything inflating right now I wonder how much is that or one should put down to greed.

Seems you pay absurd $ for a power socket though - wouldn't it make more sense to have a Genny/inverter setup?

Yep, hook up is £150 per night per pitch, plus £90 for an adult. Under 14's 'free'. Bargain...

When I first read it wasn't sure if they were expecting a camper to drive itself there.
