I see that Alonso’s race result has boosted Aston’s share price. Maybe the hoped for intention when he was recruited. If he has a good season it could do lots for the company.

Aston share price will be based on DBX order book/sales rather than F1 surely?

Possibly, but they must have sold an awful lot on Monday morning after the Bahrain GP.

The share price was already rising after their company AGM in the week before the race with a positive forecast for the coming year. There is some speculation in the markets that this triggered a short squeeze which spiked the share price temporarily. The race result was coincidental.

Always like the ‘Win on Sunday, Sell on Monday’ slogan.
Does it work for Red Bull? scratchchin

When I was with a Central London Jaguar dealership in the 80s Mondays were always busier after an international sports car win for Jaguar on the Sunday.
There is some truth in the saying

2022 was 11.58 billion cans sold so another enormous jump.

There's presumably more at play than just F1, but it would appear not to hurt.

You've got to hand it to Lawrence, he's not a billionaire for nothing.

The clip on Netflix was pretty poignant.

"F1 is like any other business, it's just about the right people"

Which is basically what he's done.

Not in the short term spike that the price rose by after the race at the weekend.

Mercedes have used F1 as an advertising and marketing tool better than any team in history, bar Ferrari maybe ....... Aston are potentially set to do the same, and maybe transform as a company as a result.

Off topic but what proportion of those cans end up being lobbed out of car / van / lorry windows I wonder. The roadsides around here are teaming with the sodding things.

A grid position of 2nd and 5th for Aston Martin for the Saudi GP are good positions so fingers crossed for a good race result.
