Notice he didn't drive his car to the grid with the other podium places after the race, but to the pit lane? Was there any reason offered for that? You just know there's the mother of all meltdowns brewing there. A lot of the commentariat simply don't like to criticise max/red bull or acknowledge a few things - they're now excited that red bull have [apparently] decided they can win as a constructor not being driver led. Yeah right, watch this space
That’s article 5 of the sporting regs broken re written for Australia then.

The FIA even underlined it.. in bold...and published it just before the race.

Curious. Did Perez do all the prep for the fastest lap?
Neither driver got told to do prep over radio so they did/didn't of their own volition. Certainly Perez could/should have noticed Max dropping back and deduced he was harvesting.
He seemed not to be aware after the race talking to Max. Said something like "were you told to drive to a delta" or something similar...

Did his times show Perez was harvesting too?
Perez just never asked about going for a fastest lap, Max never got a reply to his 'yeah but I am (interested)' comment so he likely interpreted that as proceed.

I mean ultimately its a lot of hoohaa over 1 point, the gap to Perez at season end will likely be over 75 points anyway

It’s seems a tad petulant from Maxi, Rosberg stated Max walked out of the de brief after FP2 unhappy, then post race sitting aloft in the P1 seat in the cool-down room, that’s bad form.
I read an article yesterday which said that Max has expressed displeasure at Rosberg for saying all of this and is threatening to boycott him.

Didn’t know it was possible to exhibit this level of arrogance and be so thin-skinned at the same time.

I’ve been thinking for a while how easily Perez got into his head (possibly even by accident!) and how threatened Verstappen seems by him. Perez!

I agree with the outcome of the season but imagine the hoohaa if Lewis was told that he did not need the fast lap, then took it.

And what about if Lewis had walked out of debrief after FP2 unhappy and all pouty.

Then, after the race, driving into the pits not his allocated 2nd place.

Then, in the cool down room, sitting in Perez' P1 seat.

If Lewis' third cousin had done any of the above, some on here would be going apoplectic.

Another Red Bull Sky Sports boycott? hehe

Perez was able to keep Max at Bay for 30+ laps on Sunday, kept beating his lap times and built a lead. Only a 10th off in Bahrain Q3 too. So far closer than we all would have reasonably thought...

Oh and his FIL has got to pay one million USD for making racist & homophobic comments, following the 2021 silverstone crash now a similar video with the same comments has surfaced from 2016...

Indeed, slap him with a penalty, say 10, 15 or 20 seconds. Makes the point but changes nothing.

That’s a schoolboy error for a team who blunder on a podium finish right at the end, and not expecting it - but one might expect the race engineers for the team that led the whole race, to have been re-briefed on this race’s procedure a lap or two from the end.

Not seen the article in relation to Rosberg but he left the debrief early because he had permission from the team to continue to recover from his illness.

Perhaps he fell off his high horse, then got his head stuck in the door.

From 5G to 1GG... Debriefs can be some of the worst strain F1 drivers have to endure.

Quite, I had to take a valium to calm down.

Corrected (for the track changes) Race pace from Saudi. Pretty impressive from Ferrari.

So a year of development, and $100m spent, and the red cars are no faster now than they were a year ago, while everyone else has averaged a second a lap and Aston Martin have hit it out of the park.

What does this have to do with anything? Anything at all? He's not married by the way as far as I know, so he is not his FIL!
