The problem with that is that Gen X cannot accept they are wrong. The only view that matters is theirs. If they are proved wrong, they will repeat their assertion in a different way and keep on doing so until they have their own way. It isn't just a forum thing.

I agree, incredibly tiresome.
Sounds like my Dad... & he’s 94 this year. yikes

Do you mean Gen x? I understand genx to be people who are currently aged between 42 and 58.

Yep. That's pretty much correct. That would be the older age group, but they were pretty much the start of the 'entitled' brigade.

Or as I like to call them, the L'Oréal generation because (they think) they're worth it. smile

I have to say, I've been looking around for a new F1 forum. Most threads here end in exactly the same tiresome acrimony. I'm not sure if it's the forum that has changed, or my age and tolerance, but if you're going to ban people for writing certain things, I'd rather ban people who add nothing but playground nonsense than people who add valuable insight but rub some folk up the wrong way.
It would be better if you don't take sides and treat it like a football match. Just because another poster might not like your favourite driver, there is no need to get all upset about it.

You might be more of the problem if you get upset about what other people write.

Read it, move on, ignore anything you don't agree with and don't engage in topics or things that will upset you. It's not difficult.
Even better, just ignore everything for a week after the race starts. With luck PiP will have published the opening for the next race.

Having just served my 7 day ban I think I need to be careful about what I write. When you get accused of trolling I think this translates into "anything the mods don't like" maybe this is? I don't know.

Does seem a bit heavy handed though. If I don't post again you'll know why..

I have been reported a few times. On two occasions incorrectly. On the other occasions just because of oversensitivity and/or over-zealous policing (by whoever) IMverysmileHO... I now attempt to be less direct than I would down the pub, but I will never report anyone except for something sinister like kiddy stuff..

I very often disagree with your posts, as I do others, but hey...tap away!

Well at least there are some people who can take an alternative view or engage in a bit of banter.

I think this is the last active forum left. I have started using FB more, but it's not the same. Just joined Reddit so I'll see how that goes.

A seven day ban on the F1 sub forum, that's madness, there's so many triggered so easily on here...
