It's dire! The worst he's had by a margin. He's had at least 2 wins "robbed" of him and it's taken too long to get to grips with the Trident's race tyre management (although way better than his team mates). Team probably more at fault than he, given Camara won the championship last season. It's tough at the top(ish).

He’s playing with the big boys now, and there’s a lot of effort required at this level beyond the basic driving skills that get you to this point in your career.

As you say the tyres are a large factor, and will be even more so in F2 and F1. Seat time in the car is limited, and the engineering side gets more and more complex with each step up. He’s still very young, and is doing well to be leading the championship with only a couple of rounds to go, despite some bad luck and a couple of expensive mistakes.

I’d say he’s already done enough to secure an F2 drive for next year, and Audi will back him in that championship for ‘27.

Yeah remember he's lost 2 feature race wins due to unlucky stuff this season. He should already be sitting pretty.

I wonder if Ugo will be due a penalty yet for that bizarre psycho blocking incident in P1.

Make that three. Today’s trouble was a wheel that managed to somehow wiggle itself free, half way through a race without pit stops!

Watched the feature race highlights, not sure I've ever seen a wheel come off a car that hasn't been in for a stop. I did wonder why he dropped back so much in the race.

Great patience in the Sprint race though. This guy seems unstoppable...

I'll be amazed if Freddie isn't in F1 by 2028, I've really enjoyed watching him. Yes, he comes from a wealthy family but he has some serious talent. Definitely the next big British F1 star IMO.

I’ve tried, unsuccessfully, to find a photo or diagram of an 2026 FIA F3 car wheel assembly in the last couple of days. Surely there’s a pin on the spigot that should stop the nut coming loose and unwinding itself such that the tyre departs the car?
