I get your point but... Objectively bottas is actually an amazingly accurate driver - he's a Finn, of course he is.

He's an awesome driver, just a terrible racer

If only Bottas was a Häkkinen, F1 could have been interesting for 5 years.

It was interesting, we got to see the right person win because they were a winner, year after year.

That's why F1 roams the globe and holds all these races, to find out who's quickest. Some absolute dipsts argue about the result regardless... But it's hard to imagine what more could be done to evaluate the world's top drivers other than an F1 season of races.

While the others are on holiday, Mr and Mrs Bottas did a 131km gravel bike race, he finished 5th in his age group and qualified for the world championship.

He's said before that he can't have the build of a bike racer while doing F1 because his legs would be too big. once he quits he could absolutely be a mountain bike racer, and be really really good at it.

Marcin Budkowski is the new TP from the Dutch GP... Hope Cadillac's luck changes for the second half of the season.
That would be encouraging for 2027.

NB: Stopping the brakes from catching fire would be a good start...

This boggles my mind.1. How the fk in this day in age with the access to all the tech and materials be having these issues, Cadillac also run hyper cars in WEC/Imsa.2. How the fk are the FIA allowing them to race with a known fault on a critical safety system?

The function and delivery of braking in this generation of cars is interconnected with energy regen. Lesser than anticipated regeneration can lead to greater than expected stress on the physical braking system.

To be competitive they have to design brakes that are effective enough when they are used heavily, but are also expected to often not be used heavily at all. That's very tricky! Especially for a new team dropped in to this very odd era of F1.
