10 minutes’ warning, will be a rolling start.

A big well done to all the boys and girls in the orange jump suits.

39 minutes of racing left due to time restrictions. About 17/18 laps

It’s going to be half an hour left on that clock by the time they start racing. No tyre saving required any more, flat out and hope for an SC for a free pit stop.

That’ll be that then, finishing behind the safety car.

Verschoor the 16th F2 winner of the season, from 24 races.

I can.

Some interesting racing over the weekend, and good to see the newcomers getting straight into the action up front. (and the same can be said for both drivers who moved up to F1).

..and rejoice in the fact that modern safety systems in motor sport are so advanced that the type of accident that killed Paletti in Montreal back in 1982 now results in no more than a brief delay whilst the carbon fibre is swept up…

Yes, it reminded me of that.

Abbi Pulling again with pole, from Weug and Pin.

Great result from the wildcard Ella Lloyd in 8th place, from British F4.

That was a boring race, but Abbi Pulling is now going to be the champion. Put her in FIA F3 next year, and let her sink or swim.

Good recoverery from Doriane Pin, to get a 5s penalty and do three qualifying laps at the end to keep her podium position.

Does winning the championship get you an F3 drive?

I think the plan is to put the winner in Euro F3, but IMHO they should put Abbi in FIA F3 next year. She’s 21 and has a lot of single seater experience. I’d put Doriane in FIA F3 as well, she’s a year younger and also an experienced driver.

Academy should be pushing drivers up the ladder, not just giving the girls free racing.
