F1 needs some new young blood... quite a few of them are knocking on a bit now.
(In comparison).

I agree

But in reference to the meme... He'd have to 'unalive' by the end of 2026 for it to be true if Alonso won another title wink

Not to be born when Fernando won his first two F1 titles.
(You never know... F1 is full of surprises).

Possibly, but F1 had a good intake of rookies this year, some very promising.

Indeed.

And whilst there's not a huge likelihood... If RBR/Honda nail it next season and the others are out at sea, an AMR driver will win the title. So it's either Alonso or Lance(pfft) biggrin

Basically Alonso's last chance and I suspect last season. He has to be hanging on for this potential, even if unlikely, opportunity.

Not sure if posted already but...

Bearman received a penalty point at the last race so he now has 10, 2 away from a ban and has to survive until May when his first ones will drop off.

For a bit of fun with your mates.
I saw a YouTube where a couple of guys predicted the finishing positions of the 2025 Championship... after testing had finished.
But... I think that it could also be done for quali & race. (inc sprints).
Positions fixed for entire weekend after last FP.
(But... neither of them predicted Colapinto, & neither of them had Doohan in 20th)

Finishing prediction:
Within one: 1pt
Spot on: 2pts.
Draw: 2pts each

What happened to Jack Doohan...
He's supposedly off to Super Formula in Japan.

So Toto stating that the cars have the potential to do 250mph (400 Km/h)... if they used all their energy.
(Fast in...slow out).

Fast out, stop accelerating as they hit the output limit.

They will piss about in the rules with deployment limits to build a power delivery profile that looks like a racing car.

It's quite possible the stiest and the best PU will be equalised by the time they have built this final delivery profile, then it will just come down to who built the most efficient thing on fuel consumption gains a weight advantage for the corners.

It's a manipulators wet dream.

Because time and time again, the rule makers have shown themselves able to control the show via the rules they introduce eh?

Lotus Audi
Toyota Gazoo HAAS with Ferrari
Aston Martin with Honda
Alpine with Mercedes
Cadillas with Ferrari

all a bit confusing for normal fans.

Official entry lists are out. Sauber are still listed as Sauber, not Audi, as the name change isn't official done yet. https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/sauber-name-make...

Lando #1, Max #3, Lindblad #41. Perez and Bottas keep their #11 and #77 numbers.

There has to be close to zero chance that a couple of million from Lotus would be enough for Audi risk diluting their billions of euros investment in F1.

It's not always about the money, maybe they're involved in some way? With either/or F1/Audi future road cars.

There has to be something...
