If so, then it's a good move for Cadillac. Purely a marketing move of course.
Indeed.

Car culture in China is booming right now, it's like Japan in the mid nineties-mid noughties. If they have a local hero attached to a Chrysler F1 team it's only going to help the new breed of car fans in China show more interest in Chrysler cars.

Of course, Chrysler also has to build cars for China that exceed cars China are producing themselves in some way, as they definitely won't be anything like as cheap as some of the domestic luxury cars the Chinese now produce themselves. That part of the equation will require a lot more than some good marketing...
Cadillac won't be too pleased if it leads to improved sales for Chrysler.

By mutual consent, Jack Doohan is no longer part of Alpine and is free to go elsewhere. https://x.com/i/status/2011000341563662393

He's probably glad to see the back of them.

Ferrari have moved Hamilton's previous race engineer to a new role outside the F1 team. No successor has been announced. I guess they are still checking.

Good. Theirs was a very poor working relationship from what was witnessed publicly.

I wonder how much they've offered Bono to move there from Mercedes.

I doubt he would move; he knows enough about the politics.

He's replacing Jock Clear, who left last week.

The relationship with Adami was atrocious, no matter what spin they put on it, it should have changed at the start of the year, it was an obvious disaster.
Hopefully they get someone who can communicate better this time.

Wifes kid had applied to Silverstone UTC so we get emails off them, we got an email saying the track is booked for private use several times in the next few weeks and students must not film or picture anything going on, 16th was on of the days.

I'm sure they'll all ignore the F1 cars and keep their phones in their pockets...

That is not a surprise, you could cut the atmosphere between them with a knife all year.

Well it was. Cadillac ran today and video is up

Also pointless telling students not to film when there's a Gigantic Hilton with rooms and bar overlooking the track and garages FFS rofl

All the teams secretly want to get filmed, even if they say they don't. It's free publicity for them, and viral marketing is more valuable than anything they could pay for.
