He can never get anything done/nobody does any work as there are constant coffee and food runs and bullying to be in the sweepstakes/lottery/get rich scheme etc etc.
Attempt at levity aside, passing info early I think its highly unlikely. Imagine there was a part on this years AM which could only have come from a red bull drawing.
At least once the cars are running in races you can have a plausible reason to have copied it. But no hidden away component. Thats asking for trouble.
It would have to be documents originated after his start at AM surely. And not the first day lol.
Im sure force india did something like this with the brake components a while back. But were let off, with a booting.

According to The-Race podcast, Newey was being shown around the facilities and at the end asked, quite seriously "...and where will I sleep?".
I have to assume that someone like him would be working into the night and if he was too "engrossed" in a path he'd not be heading home but would work through the night until he was too exhausted to work then he'd park up for a few hours of nap time then back up to work.

A red flag for me lol.
He is going to spend most of the time having a kip at work till someone is brave enough to sack him.

There's nothing stopping him removing all the Red Bull references from his drawings and emailing them across to Aston Martin using his personal gmail account, etc

Or he could just post copies of his drawings to the design team via Royal mail...

Or just pass them to an Aston Martin employee he invited over for tea...
Or take them to a newsagent in Woking with a photocopierhehe

"Do you think I need to wear a tie? Do they wear ties there? st. Maybe I can take one with me and I'll put it on if everyone else is wearing a tie."

"Hi... hi... I'm Adeyran... I mean... Adrian" (is now generally referred to as "Adeyran", in a joke that's always worn out but somehow still funny). Someone changes his phonebook entry and email name to match. New starters believe that's his real name.

Doing a meal prep economy drive, and on week 2 brings in a frozen portion of the curry he made just before Christmas. Microwaves it in the dining area and those with sensitive noses huff and puff and grumble. Embarrassing email to 'all staff' with reminders about kitchen etiquette.

Gets into quarrel with finance people, as a lunch expenses receipt is over £5 and includes toothpaste and a scratchcard.

Possibly those things. Or not.

Indeed. But I suspect he is like some others I know of, they can pretty much do what they want, when they want, all that matters is the result.

I think all drawings of things on a car are sent to to the FIA . Cant think thats someone compares everything by eye so maybe they have some software to do it. Stops Rosso toro making the same car as red bull.
Its true bog stock paper copying is easy but its also evidence.
I think a lot of that Ferrari stuff mclaren got years ago were procedures . Shumacher and brawn would have done lots of dreary meticulous preperation stuff which everyone seems to do now. Must have been tons of copies floating around the whole of F1 lol.

Slightly connected as it is Aston Martin as well but Ferrari have won a legal case to stop Enrico Cardile starting work early, the courts have upheld Ferrari's 1 years gardening leave before he can start at Aston Martin.

Aston martins non progress was troubling me . On que these guys have written an article.

https://www.the-race.com/formula-1/whats-going-wro...

My take on it is AM are stuffed this year. Newey cant be diverted from next year. He would have to spend the whole of this year figuring out the whole 2025 car before giving any input. So no 2026 car or one fatally compromised.
They seem to have sacked off or moved anyone that in not required for next year. These are the people that knew about the 2025 car. I guess stroll would have loved binning off the people he feels let him down, but what about moral in the rest of the
team?
Cant help feeling this was to stop them grabbing ideas from Newey for their next job, like what usually happens.
I guess its a case of take the sour tasting medicine for 2025.

Interesting moan about th ewind tunnel. Are Red Bull still using the old Jordan wind tunnel in Brackley for part of their development?

I didn't read it as a moan. Lots of teams have had issues with correlation in the ground effect era. A new tunnel will take time to fully calibrate and understand, at a guess.

Totally.

Williams look like they're done with the 2025 car, so wouldn't surprise me unless you're at the front to switch now. AMR getting 5th or 8th is neither here nor there at this point and if they need more tunnel time because of the new one, may actually help them for the new regulations.

Exactly. They could be deliberately tanking. What is their incentive to kick on in 2025 from where they are?

We know money is no object for them but wind tunnel hours are very much Newey's currency.

It's not exactly been a secret all of Aston's focus is on 26, it seems like a hit of a slow news F1 week for articles to be written about how their 25 is a duff season. The car was always going to be what it is, they don't even seem to be planning any upgrades for it so the year was written off before it even began

I wonder if they could have kept the 2025 team of engineers at the old jordan facility working on the current car they designed and built.

Red Bull use the ancient 13'x9' low speed tunnel on the old RAE Bedford site at Thurleigh. Significantly updated since I worked at the RAE but it is still old and, AIUI, rather limited.
