As noted on a podcast yesterday, everyone’s manager is in constant dialogue with teams to look at options.Or would they sack someone to get Max in? ... all assuming that it isn't a load of mischief being kicked around!!
By doing it publicly Max is just sending a message.
I just don’t think there is a clear enough picture yet as to who has the strongest package, so personally I think he will be at RB next year.

Me too I can't imagine Toto putting Max in with Kimi nor can I imagine Zak paying off one of his drivers to put Max in with his massive salary. Max and Ferrari would last half a season before they parted company and no where else has the money/ car (I can't see Max going to Aston in the hope that they produce something). By doing it publicly Max is just sending a message.

Also Redbull give him the flexibility to do sports cars without being tied to a manufacturer.

Indeed. He'll go to whoever offers him the car he best believes in - in orvout of F1.I do expect he holds F1 dear, it was his ambition to get there and nothing else really compares.. But if F1 changes for commercial reasons in ways that strain that fondness, I can absolutely see him heading elsewhere.
He's almost certainly playing games by competing elsewhere right now, and it could reasonably be argued he's already affected spec change for the cars in upcoming seasons - he has to be a factor in such decisions. But I also believe that when he gets fed up, he'll walk.

You might well be rightOscars seat is the only one left Max would take realistically. Toto seems to have found his new Golden child and I;m not sure he wants Max in that mix,

McLaren may be Max's only option to leave Red Bull.
Autosport said ahead of the British GP that both Russell and Hamilton had taken up options in their contracts to stay with their teams in 2027. Leclerc has extended his contract and there is more chance of Toto Wolf revealing that he is really Lord Lucan than Antonelli being kicked out of Mercedes.
Another story over the weekend said that Verstappen has an option to leave Red Bull if he is not in the top 2 of the WDC at the point of the summer break and he is too far behind to manage that. The unfortunate situation for Red Bull is that Max isn't obligated to tell them he is leaving before October...

!0 years? Make that now, Max isnt the person at the front of everyones mind now.Giving equity to that family would be the death blow to red bull in f1
