I ve done the Monaco GP twice and I think it should be on every fan s bucket list. The atmosphere is brilliant and inevitably one day Liberty will decide that there s more money to be made replacing it with some soulless, new track in a country we ve never even thought of. Then you ll wish you had gone when you had the chance.
I'd definitely consider going if naturally aspirated engines come back, as is being considered. It will still be a procession, but an inpressive one, aurally...
As it is, I am probably going to do a trip to the classic in 2028.

That's a good call.

My first experience of an F1 race was at Monaco during the V10 era. We stayed in Nice and traveled to Monaco via the train.
The engine noise you could hear as you got off the train was fantastic. It just got better and better the closer you got to the track and on another level during practice, quali and the race - something I'll never forget.
I'm doubt that I'd go again, but it was definitely worth it at the time for the spectacle that is Monaco. However, I'm not sure it would have been as memorable without the V10 noise and the current cars.
Popping along to the Monaco F1 as its a race we have never done.
Although it is likely to be a procession I am looking forward to the atmosphere. Chosen our seating at Grandstand L (Piscine Rainer III) exit of swimming pool so hoping we managed to get a good view of the pits as well.
As a newbie who has not done Monaco, we are staying in Nice and planning to get the train across - is it a scrum to get on the train or is it pretty civilised??

Likewise. I went to Monaco in 2005 and the violence of the engines and gunfire like downshifts bouncing off the buildings was something I’ll never forget. My first experience of an F1 race was at Monaco during the V10 era. We stayed in Nice and traveled to Monaco via the train.

If you do the Monaco Historique 2028, then definitely wander around the paddock at Quai Antoine (near La Rascasse). Any petrol head nostalgic race fan will be in heaven.

We did the Historic this year. Drove down, 1000 miles in 3 days in the TVR
That's very ambitious in a TVR!! Well done, you beat the odds

The Historic is a good shout - that's something I'd go back to experience.
