Good to have it back on the calendar.
Interestingly, half of the current drivers participated in the last F1 event to be held there nine years ago. Alonso, Bottas, Gasly, Hamilton, Hulkenberg, Ocon, Perez, Sainz, Stroll and Verstappen all competed in the race, while Leclerc got to drive in a free practice session.

I wonder if they have enough time to sell the tickets.
Schumi the best driver in the world and the best number 2 driver according to Eddie Irvine.
Schumacher comeback race in 1999 when he had broken his leg earlier in the year at Silverstone. He was at home, resting, when his boss, Luca De M called his house. Mick, his son answered and said Dad was playing football. Which made Luca realize he was not coming back to help unless he was strong armed into helping Irvine winning the championship.
Came back, helped Irvine move into first position whilst at the same time, holding the Mclarens back. Awesome race.

October is the start of monsoon season, I think.
We were there in March for 10 days. Every day at about 16.00 there were torrential storms. When we were at the track our stand was struck.
...but warm

2009 was a memorable wet race in Sepang. Highlights:

Seems like Malaysia is getting the race on the cheap. Apparently Bahrain is footing almost all the costs with Malaysia only paying around RM16m (USD 3.8m ) mainly to upgrade the track. The downside to this is Bahrain is setting the ticket prices, which means it will be a lot more expensive than it used to be. Still it’s a great circuit and I’ll definitely be there.
