@ Euphonic... was it the R3 RX-8 on the straight? If so, good example there, sir

@Hohoho... sorry, I was a bit vague on arrival. Only got about four hours sleep last night by the time I finished driving trains and was trying to concentrate on how different cars are. Like, you have to steer them! As for MPG; it's not bad. Can even manage twenties. On a run. It's the FD that really kicks me in the nuts eek Fortunately she was sulking in the garage (becos rotary) so the 1st-gen got to run out today

Favourite cars of the day were the Lotus Carlton, the Scimitars, and two Fiestas: the lovely MK1 with the fantastic tartan seats and the MK2 with the turbo engine.

If anyone wants hi-res feel free to ask.

It was an enjoyable morning, thanks to those that organised.
Love the pic of my Westfield! Probably its last Pistonheads outing before I sell it on in the new year.

That would have been mine!

Thank you, ruined the O/S rear wheel by curbing it a few weeks ago! frown

Hope everyone enjoyed seeing and sitting in the i3.

Re: the post about the tyres, they are indeed super skinny. That one is on larger wheels, so they're 155/60 R20 at the front and 175s at the rear.

Thanks to all, pistonheads and Goodwood alike!

Was good morning, lack of longevity no doubt down to weather, was miserable!

Good way to end the year! Looking forward to next years offerings.

Thanks to everyone who made the effort to bring their cars along. thumbup

It's not every day that you get to follow a Lotus Carlton on the way down to Goodwood with a Porsche 968 Sport in the rear view mirror, and then follow a Delorean on the way home. cooldriving

Did anyone hear any comments about my Fiesta? I wasn't with the car much of the time so not really sure what people thought!
A mate of mine has a fiesta the same year as yours and a 1.7 engine that he has been meaning to get together for years, I showed him a pic I took of your car when you had the bonnet open and his words were "right, fk it! That's it, I'm doing it next year" LOL biggrin

I liked it,your radiator is very small.

I was on my own so didn't say anything out loud....paperbag

Good sleeper too with just wheels to suggest anything has been modded.

Looked like a good turnout - unfortunately I couldn't enjoy it as the bloody door latch jammed locked while the door was open - £130 for an AA man to give me a zip tie...

I was in the GTM Libra with the Lightening McQueen eyes in the windscreen.

Didn't take a single photo of anything as I didn't get the chance to walk around so looking forward to people's photos (especially any of my car!)

Cheers chaps, as always the effort to organise is very appreciated.

Sam
Hi Sam, I was one of two (I'm sure there were more) who tried to help, sorry we couldn't,me found it very difficult to leave you after thinking it should really be easier than it turned out to be. Great car, you should be proud, bring it out more in future, cheers for bringing it, my favourite of the day ;~)

2nd Pistonheads meeting for myself, enjoyed mooching round and having a chat with a few people.

Loved the Ferrari 458 on the outside car park, gorgeous.

Out of the all the cars, love the BMW 1Ms, I only have a BMW 123d M Sport.

I'd be certainly very disappointed to hear about people bad mouthing other people's cars, not everyone can afford these things. Hell some struggle to pay the bills. So for those that passed these comments, wind your neck in.

There may have been two idiots wandering around with a little too much to say, but there were hundreds who didn't behave this way. They'll not last long in a positive environment with that negativity. They'll just disappear and nobody will notice. Great morning despite the weather.

Couldn't agree more and look forward to future events next year, hopefully I won't be doing 500+ a week to work and have something petrol based in 2014...

Also thought the standard of driving around the Goodwood site was was pretty ste.
