Vauxhall Sunday Service 20/07

Join us at the Vauxhall Heritage Centre

After a hectic few weeks at Le Mans, N24, Goodwood and Le Mans (Classic) we're very pleased to announce the summer motoring fun continues with another date for your calendar. This time we'll descend on glorious Luton for another visit to Vauxhall HQ on Sunday July 20.

Non-Griffin badged cars welcome too!
Non-Griffin badged cars welcome too!
Once again we've been asked back to the Vauxhall Heritage Centre to see a cracking line-up with plenty of Vauxhall metal for you to admire, from some of the latest to some of the oldest. If you haven't been before, the Vauxhall Heritage Centre is certainly a very interesting place to look around, with lots of historic, modern and iconic cars to see.

To claim your spot as one of the 500, sign up here.

We’ll be based around their excellent Heritage Centre situated in the shadows of Vauxhall's UK HQ, and the usual supply of breakfast items to provide the sustenance needed for an early start will be on hand. As per usual, the gates will open at 0900h and will close at 1300h. Entrance is free, so all you need to worry about is bringing enough cash to buy a spot of breakfast.

Vauxhall HQ can be found at the following address: Griffin House, Osborne Road, Luton. LU1 3YT.

Please note that you will need to pass Griffin House before turning right at the T-junction to enter the Sunday Service car park from Park Street (20mph limit, so be careful). Signposts will guide you from Griffin House, but it is literally around the corner from the main entrance.

Sign up here.

A massive thanks to Vauxhall.

See you there.

Went to this last year and spent ages wandering around re-living the hot hatchbacks of my youth (my Mk1 Astra GTE still sits 'up there' as one of my favourite cars I've owned) - highly recommended.

Same day as the Uxbridge Auto Show for anyone looking for something to do after the Sunday Service.

Is there ever a sunday service up north? They always seem to be no further than the midlands, so for us members in the north east, we are deprived of these seemly excellent events?

Might be too late for this year, but for 2015 can the powers that be at PH Towers have one in the north east, or north yorkshire at least!

That is all.

The issue we have is finding a car related venue that can hold at least 300 cars, put on facilities and will let us have it at no cost.

I can't help thinking that the snoot, at the far right of the picture, looks more modern than the rest of the line up, despite being the oldest!

Been there before, very interesting place to visit, have signed in for another visit smile

This was great last year, added bonus of having the heritage centre to have a nose around. In

That makes sense. We'll have to get our thinking caps on up here to find something suitable!

What I find amazing is how quick the Sunday Services fill up. We see 6-800 people at times, yet here we have a good venue with plenty of space where a manufacture has in the past put a lot of effort in to keeping us amused and put on a good display and yet the list is currently sitting at 250 ish confused

Being that all sorts of members cars turn up to gawp at surely it can't just be the badge snobs not attending or is July when everyone decides to go on holiday?

What do YOU think? It's the same every time for this venue regardless of what month it is held.
