Very pleasant hour spent wandering about and chatting with PH'ers this morning. It was quite low-key like the old days at Virginia Water.

Some great machines on show, loved all the Lotus Carltons (they really are the Daddy). My faves were the BTCC line-up, the orange rally-spec Escort and that fantastic little Z-Cars mini cool

It was great to get my car out too (black/white Exige S1), reminded myself how fiercely rapid it was on the way there and how miserable it is sitting in traffic on the '25 on the way back (Gas Mark 4 anyone).

Lovely morning! Staff were fantastic, some nice cheeky banter with the catering van staff :-) and free t-shirt and sticker made the 'icing on the cake' so to speak!
Weather held off, nice run up from Portsmouth, and was great to see some of the more unusual Vauxhall stuff!
And top marks to the cheeky sticker on the back of the white LC in the car park, you sir have a gold star!! ;-)
Thanks very much, that was me!

Top marks to Vauxhall for making us welcome, and PH staff for the freebies, my best SS so far.

Had a great few hours yesterday at PHSS, big thanks to Dougie and all the VX staff.

Thanks to all that turned up as well, what a great display of cars to look at and have a wander round.

Great free T-shirt as well, bonus smile

Couldn’t persuade Mrs Duggan to drive the RS up there – think she was suffering from a touch of “wine-flu” and wanted the easy option. A great venue tough as it’s a quick scoot up the M1 from London on the bike, with Mrs Duggan in tow biggrin

Echo the comments here – felt very much like the early SS’s with a friendly, informal atmosphere and plenty to see/do.

Thanks to Dougie and the team – really made an effort with some rare and unusual cars + free goodies!

I was admiring your 500SS yesterday - really nice and I am tempted to get one or a 595 as a run around - is it as much fun as the reviews say?

Cheers to all that attended was a great day
Even weather held up which was fantastic
Mega range of cars as mentioned above was very much like Old Skool Pistonheads meet.
The Owners wanted to stand next to their cars and happily talk about them to others. ( Something that is missing over that last few years)
Cheers again to all that made and effort and comments really showed those that didnt attend for whatever reasons what the missed.
Cheers to Rez ( PH) for the T Shirts and Stickers nice touch)

Heres some of our Official Photos for you too.

Thanks for the Sunday service, was a fair trek from Hereford, unlike the Morgan one, but particularly enjoyed chatting to people about their cars, and really liked both the Capri and road ralley mk2 Escort.
Thanks to Vauxhall and PH, loved seeing the mk2 GTE still complete with original radio, and the little Nova in the corner, not realising what a lucky escape it had at the end of the production line.

It’s a cracking little car – the SS kit gives it 158bhp and it weighs a little over a ton, so for a small car & with a turbo-charged delivery, it soon picks up speed.

I’ve had it from new (now 5 years old – one of the first off the production line) and nothing has gone wrong on it – the build quality on the early cars is stunning!

Dad wondered how you'd got the bike stand there. - He made a comment along the lines of "Surely he doesn't have to carry that on the bike?!?!" hehe

Thanks Vauxhall for putting the event on again, the amount of effort put in by yourselves surpasses many of the other manufacturers.
Thanks DougieMc for measuring the gate to see If we could get in. Sorry we got there when everyone had gone, lost the key for the Goddess and had to get it started by a recovery company, then had a water leak!
If it's on again we'll defiantly be on time!

Just wanted to add my thanks to all those who organised Sunday morning; very enjoyable. Although quite a small event, I thought it was all the better for it, with some good members cars attending as well. So thanks to you as well. Good coffee as well!
