Hey guys, new on PH here
I've put myself on the calendar, and booked a Novice timeslot - me and my Mazda 3 MPS.
Couple of questions please,
Where do I go for my allotted time at the track?
Do they provide helmets for me and a passenger?
Cheers all. See you there.
All the details will be in the post or confirmation email. Briefing is usually in the brook lands building but sometimes it changes. Helmets are usually provided and are £10 with a £20 deposit if I remember correctly. I've put myself on the calendar, and booked a Novice timeslot - me and my Mazda 3 MPS.

Also worth keeping in mind that you'll usually have to wear something covers your arms so no short sleeves I've put myself on the calendar, and booked a Novice timeslot - me and my Mazda 3 MPS.

I'm on the list and really looking forward to this, I've booked a track session and I'd like to try to capture some of it on film. I have the heavy duty version of the below suction mount and phone cradle and it doesn't move at all on track. The cradle is even used on motorbikes but I understand Silverstone don't like any suction mounts?

The question is if I were to screw/bolt the arm and cradle to the dash, would that be OK? I don't think the general booking line would be able to answer this and I'd rather find out before the day so I wondered if anyone had experience of this or a similar cradle?

The last Silverstone briefing I went to said that suction mounts arent acceptable & need to be solidly mounted, I'd say that bolted down would be finehttp://www.rammount.com/part/RAM-B-166-UN10U

The time before last I'd read that suction mounts weren't allowed, so didn't bother bringing my GoPro, but in the briefing they said suction mounts were OK. Last time I brought my GoPro and used it mounted inside the windscreen on the suction mount and it was fine.
I see that the list is now full and people are now on the waiting list, however, spaces are still available to book. Are the track places only available to the 500 on the list? Or can anyone book one?

Same question. Was considering track time, but it says register for SS too if you want track time.I see that the list is now full and people are now on the waiting list, however, spaces are still available to book. Are the track places only available to the 500 on the list? Or can anyone book one?
The article implies that there is room for 500 PLUS people with track time so just go ahead and book the track time and you're guaranteed a spot in the paddock.
A good slice of the original 500 will also be on track so I'm not sure how PH are going to work out which 500 get to go in the 'parking' area?

Morning everyone, just to clear this up...
ALL attendees, regardless of if you're going on track or not, need to register on the calendar. Everyone. All of you. If you don't register you won't get a entry badge emailed to you and getting though the gate will be problematic.
However, don't panic about the number of spaces - I've now increased it. To be honest 500 is just a number that I put in based on attendance from previous events but this time around it seems the event is more popular, which is nice! I've now increased the capacity of the event as there is plenty of room at SIlverstone so you're all in.
To recap:
1) EVERYONE that wants to come needs to be on the calendar list http://www.pistonheads.com/calendar/event.asp?i=57...
2) There is now more space on the calendar so you're all in
Thanks everyone
