Just realised that in March 2014 I attended the PH Sunday service and this MK3 caught my eye. I really loved the colour and the interior and I hadn;t seen one in that combo before. I decided there and then that I would own one in that spec but it was probably a long way off.

Hi all,

Sorry to hear some of you have had a few issues - I've just spoken to Silverstone and they've had plenty of people book on so it seems to be working for some people just fine.

Anyway, glad it is popular again. Just as an aside, the noise limit for the day is 102dB (drive by) - I forgot to ask before so this wasn't included in the launch article.

See you all there!
JD
It is popular because it is the best sunday service by a mile. You can't beat the atmoshpere there - the buzz and the cars going round the track make it a special SS. Gutted to be missing it!

I had no problems earlier in the year with a suction mounted phone holder. Just make sure loose items are cleared up from the cockpit also

There were a couple of Land Rovers last time, so why not.
Don't worry. Bringing a proper car this time - but letting my missus drive it smile

My Mrs is doing the 11:20 session, I'm in the 10:10. Will be in our 2nd Subaru that's being built as a track/hillclimb car but is still a way off and a bit tatty. It's there to be used though.

Can't wait for this.

Coming along in my track m3, not booking any sessions in case the weather is bad. But will bring my helmet and sign on.

SS running sessions into the afternoon too.

I'm sure you could, but they usually advise regular breaks to avoid fatigue.

Just say if you book track time but fail the db limit, do you get a refund ?

Also what's the difference between the "novice" and "intermediate" groups ?

No.

Novice = never taken your own car on track.

Intermediate = driven your own car more than once on track.

How accurate with a smartphone will a db app be compared to the measurement they use on track? Planning to measure my exhaust with the valve closed this weekend using a phone.
