You dont have to justify yourself, the kind of attitude you're receiving is totally uncalled for, if he was that bothered & experienced he'd have backed off created enough space to concentrate on his own session, sounds to me like he just wants to show how many internet points he can get trying to show the world how he kept up with a GTR.

Fair play for taking it on track in the first place, after seeing the track I'm glad I didnt take my £160 Puma let alone a big money GTR
Agree 100%. If I ever find myself in a situation like that I do a drive through the Pits. Not only does it give the car a breather it sets you back half a lap and more often than not brings you out in clear traffic or something different to chase. It's not a hard concept.

A. Not experienced, my first time on track. But I listened in the drivers briefing and had the etiquette to let people past that are faster.

B. Who wouldn't want Internet points for that?

C. Good suggestion about driving through the pits.

You must remember everyone is different, you sound quite confident for a first time on track, others will be more nervous.

You then get those who are observant and could happily hold a conversation and the next person will be so focussed they forget to check their mirrors (even if they have listened at a briefing).

But that's the whole reason for novice sessions to build the confidence and awareness of all the drivers.

Nope that would be me in my Caterham. Slowest car on track in both intermediate sessions.
If it was yours in the 10:10 session, you were doing a difficult job extremely well. I caught up with a Caterham on the way into Copse and watched ploughing under steer morph into snap oversteer. Didn't look easy to make progress!

Had a good time in the 10.10 session following the silver M3 in the first group out then swapping places with him. No issue getting past people. There was a Blue Golf R that was going quite fast out there.

I was in that session. When the TVR span in front of the red Audi TT I was following into Woodcote, causing us both to lose a lot of momentum, that blue Golf R was the last of the three cars that'd passed me by Copse. It was the only one I never subsequently passed - rapid!

Was um on the bank and watched that spin, was commenting to the people with us how soiled your underwear must have been as he rolled back toward you!

Good effort avoiding it though!

I was standing up on the inside of Copse when that happened, and all of us up there did the pantomime ooOOOoooo as that happened. Squeaky bum time just watching.

Whilst perhaps a little speedy, the standard of driving in that video is vastly improved compared with the Prodrive antics.
