Just booked myself and my shed like 306 in, I wonder how many of my 167 horses have bolted the stable?!

How many times do you get to run?

It's unlimited runs.
If it rains, I suspect they won't run, so I wouldn't bother making the journey if it's raining.

Also shocked at the drag price, especially with the £2 per ticket booking fee and yet another site that you have to 'register' with...

Perhaps I'm getting old.

Seems especially pricey since I'll probably only do 1 or 2 runs with my mate doing the same.

But, all going to plan and the tickets aren't completely wasted, please look out for possibly the SLOWEST comedy drag race of the day. Bubble v Bubble. German v British smile

Damn, same day as the Goodwood Supercar Sunday breakfast club. Now I have to make a decision, I hate making decisions.

Last year there were drag race tickets available on the day but that was only due to the fact that the 200 space allocation had not been met prior to the event. Buy them before or take your chances on the day. Not sure how you know when the full allocation has been met though?

I guess Pistonheads do not control what Santa Pod charge but can only ask for a discount, which I believe is £5 (normally £25 for race ticket and £10 entry). I have found that a booking fee is fairly standard with buying tickets online for anything now. Lets be honest the event is free (except if you choose the race) and the Santa Pod staff need paying for their time and use of the facility so personally I do not think its too pricy.

I grumble about the booking fee personally as it is per ticket and not per transaction. A friend of mine asked me to book his racing ticket for him at the same time as mine as he can't and doesn't want to miss out - shocked that I got charged 2x booking fee.

That aside, I don't think it's that expensive really. If you just want one or two runs maybe, but that's your perogative - you've paid for a full day of RWYB. No different to paying for a full open pit lane track day and only running a single 20 minute session.

Looking forward to this one, fingers crossed for the weather as last year was laaaverly.

Does anyone know if the drag tickets are per car or per driver?
Both myself and my mate would like to share use of our pool track car on the day.

I can also confirm that bikes are allowed, see their rules and regs though http://www.rwyb.co.uk/rules.php

Bikes can't race against cars either, just other bikes!

Alway per driver at Pod unless you can have some way of taking the band off.

We've done a few convoys before and usually meet up at some services on the A34.

There's the BP Northbound before the M40 and there's another service station that's just off the A34 but can't remember the name of it!

Would be up for it though :-) maybe start a convoy thread.

I shall do just that.

That'd work well for us as we'll be joining at the A420 at Oxford.

Convoy thread in-bound!

Can you run when it rains or do you get your money back?

Normally they stop if it rains.
You'll generally get a ticket to come back to another RWYB day free.
