Blenheim Palace Sunday Service 03/09

A new Sunday Service location for next month, at Blenheim Palace Classic & Supercar - here's how to be there!

If you were panicking that we'd packed up and forgotten about Sunday Services, then your worries are over. Our calendar is packed for the rest of the year, and we're kicking off next month at the all-new Blenheim Palace Classic & Supercar event on Sunday 3rd September.

If you missed our announcement in June, we'll be there with our very own PistonHeads Member Paddock, featuring a select few classics, sports and supercars that define the PistonHeads brand. Our community will be represented by a McLaren 675LT, Porsche Cayman GT4, Lamborghini Countach, Noble M12 GTO 3R, Ferrari 458 Speciale and a whole host of TVRs.

On top of that, we've got parking for 500 cars in the Sunday Service area. Please note that unlike most Sunday Services, there is a charge to attend the Blenheim Palace Classic & Supercar. Tickets are available at a bargain £15.30 for adults and £7.10 for children, and we ask that you buy your tickets to the event before signing up to the Sunday Service.

The main event has been created by luxury automotive organisers Salon Prive, alongside Blenheim Palace. It will showcase more than 350 of the world's greatest classic and supercars in the stunning surroundings of the Oxfordshire World Heritage Site.

For more information and to book your tickets, click here. You only need the Park & Gardens tickets for full access to the event. Once you've got your tickets, sign up to the Sunday Service here, and we'll see you there!

IMPORTANT: When purchasing your tickets, you must enter code PHSUN into the coupon code box at the check out. This is to ensure you’re sent a windscreen sticker to gain you access to the Sunday Service area. This only applies to anyone purchasing tickets after 21st August.

All booked in, first time at the venue. Very excited biggrin

Also, any helpful locals able to suggest a nice hotel (at a reasonable price) to stay at locally?

Can't really comment on hotel quality (or what you would deem nice), but you've got Sturdy's Castle pub/motel a couple of miles away, which is at the affordable end of the spectrum. Otherwise there's a few decent pub hotels in Woodstock itself (The Feathers is good, but higher end). Depend how close you want to be really.

Anyone know if you need to be there by 9 o'clock? I think we're going anyway, but not sure I can convince the other half to turn up early (by her standards!)

Do the tickets get you into the house as well, is the house even open?

You can buy the more expensive ticket which will the give you access to the palace, what I'll probably do to persuade the OH to go!

Here are some local Hotels, B&Bs and Pubs with rooms to research.
The Bell at Hampton Poyle.
The Killingworth Castle at Wootton.
The Swan House B&B at Long Hanborough.
The Duke of Marlborough at Woodleys.
Sturdys Castle at Tackley.
Churchill Court at Long Hanborough
The Holiday Inn and Travelodge at Peartree at the A34/A44 roundabout.
And for the Powerfully Built Company Director types there is always the Bear Hotel in Woodstock or Eynsham Hall about 5 miles up the road towards Witney.

Nope you won't have to be there by 9:00 dead on, that's just when it'll be open. The PH Sunday Service will be running all morning, so feel free to arrive whenever you like!

Forgive my ignorance as I've not been to this event before but are PHers parked together or are we mixed in with the rest of the rabble?

Can't speak for Blenheim but previous similar events had the same entrance, but then you're guided away to another parking area.

Looks like a pretty dead SS. Bring back Santa Pod and Silverstone.

What about one at Donington/Castle Combe/Brands etc with some track action?

Booked in for my first SS travelling up from Havant. Haven't quite got around to replacing my S2000, so will be in my comfy, efficient and exceedingly boring Audi A6. Hope I won't be kicked out for bringing a diesel and polluting the lovely Oxfordshire air!

Once my wedding is out of the way, a thirsty V10 BMW M6 is the next big spend...

Got this email today, shows whereabouts we'll be parking.

I'm guessing/hoping the palace is enormous or this isn't to scale...

The area highlighted on this map is the PistonHeads Paddock, which is our feature of 50 cars at the event. The Sunday Service will be in a different location, but we'll send out some more details next week ahead of the event.

We had some technical issues yesterday, but all members signed up will receive an email from me shortly today.

We need you to complete a form with your address details, but please ensure you enter the details used when your tickets were purchased, as this information will be used to validate your purchase so we can post out a display sticker to get you into the Sunday Service area.

I ordered my ticket using the code today, I take it this means I don't have to fill in the emailed form? Just wanted to make sure.
