Goodwood Sunday Service and track day 16-17/12

Our Christmas treat to you? A return to Goodwood for a track and Sunday Service extravaganza!

The time has come for our annual pilgrimage to our largest, and final, Sunday Service of the year. Has the year really gone that quickly?! It feels like yesterday we were heading to Prodrive for the first time, and all the other epic Sunday mornings have seemingly gone in a blink of an eye. So, on the 16th and 17th December we'll be at Goodwood for our final track day and Sunday Service hurrah before pride and joys take shelter from the unforgiving salted tarmac.

It's that time of year again!
It's that time of year again!
On Saturday we will be there for one of our famous track days around the Goodwood Circuit, and if you've never driven there but always dreamed of it, now is the ideal chance to do just that - as we say every year, it's the perfect Christmas present! Anyone that has will tell you it's an incredible experience, and tearing around the legendary circuit really does top off the year. As an addition, this year Goodwood are offering a Christmas style buffet lunch included in the price, with teas and coffee included throughout the day.

Following some great fun on track, we'll be there bright and early the day after for the Sunday Service. It's always a rather special event, with as many cars as we're allowed lined up along the start-finish straight, it makes for some fantastic photos. There will also be the NAAFI wagon on site providing tea, coffee and bacon rolls to you hungry lot. So get yourself signed up here - we'll be there on both days with some PH Fleet cars and look forward to seeing you there!

Chris Teagles will be there getting snaps on both Saturday's track day and Sunday's event.

Gutted the trackday clashes with a Christmas festivities day with friends I can’t get out of. All signed up for the Sunday though.

Love this. Seems to be a better crowd than the Silverstone track sessions too. Less nutters. I ended up going to this on my own last year as the wife was ill but hopefully this time we can both attend.

Unfortunately I can't book a track place until this time next week so hopefully they don't sell out too quickly.....

Goodwood isn't the most technically challenging track in the world but it is bloody good fun.

Signed up for the SS, not the track day.

Last year was nice, but cold.

There’s a charity trackday on the 21st if you fancy a cheap Christmas session https://www.facebook.com/goodwoodmarshalsclub/post...

Not sure about the track day - trying to get below 98dB is difficult with the Lotus on throttle bodies etc. I'm going to have a try with extra silencing etc.
Been black flagged there so many times in the Bentley on drive by.

Be there on sunday regardless anyway.

What’s the deal with insurance for the track day, presume not included in the price?

dont crash or get crashed into and you'll be finethumbup you could arrange a track day insurance thru a broker but, depending on vehicle value, could be more that the trackday itself. Having said that, I have lots of trackdays under my belt and never had any issues. Goodwood is a nice circuit, not partically challenging but fast, and they have a sessioned format with maybe 10 second gaps between releasing cars from the pit lane. This means that unless you are painfully slow or exceptionally fast you dont come across mush traffic.
For this reason i,m gonna give the trackday a miss in favour of an open pit lane on the 9th dec at Bedford.........for half the pricebiggrin

No. Bin it and you pay for it. Be wary as it is a difficult track and little in the way of run-offs. Great when you get it nailed though!

Agree, Goodwood has nowhere to go if you get it wrong (with the possible exception of Lavant) particularly if the grass is wet... at the recent MINI track day someone lost it out of the chicane and ended up in the tyre wall on the opposite side of the track.

However, treated with respect its a great track; flowing and fast!

Can you spectate on the Saturday or is it only for drivers?

I’m signed up to the Sunday Service, can’t say I fancy taking the Z4 on track!

Yes you can spectate. The paddocks are open (and you can park in them keeping clear of the trackday participants) also the old control tower will be open for food and a good view of the start finish straight in the warm.
