Says it all really! And the people i talked to were great & friendly too, especially the guy who showed me his Heartge E30 325 Convertible at the beginning of the day (there was more E30 & E34 BMW's there then i've seen on the road in the last couple of years!) & one or two others who see me at Goodwood so often they think i live there!

I even came to the track day the day before too & that was rather relaxing & enjoyable as well.

God i've spoke too much! Time for pics!

Track Day

Those & many more are in the following albums.

Great pics of the track day - you even made our shed MGZT look presentable and fast! Cheers, Claire & Arjan

Here's the pic of the E34 who is mates with E30 Touring drift and Volvo estate prancing moose blokes.

He should've asked marshals to park with his friends,he's about a mile away from them.

To be fair, having seen another video he wasn't the only person at it.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jzla2eH770

Thing is these video's will just attract other tts as soon as they hit youtube and others think thats what PH meets are about all PH meets will soon end up resembling the Ace Cafe... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GNTL6HF71Cs&t=... - Think it's safe to say nobody wants that.

Also the conditions were slippery, I get that but not all were driving to them on exit! - shame it seems to be the (mainly) BMW lot, quite like them as cars but looks like they're going a little wrong somewhere. Didn't mean for it to become a huge discussion but after seeing what happened in Scotland this summer, should that happen at a PH event I doubt that they would happen again TBH, especially once it hit the press.

Also without the number plates being blurred there could be a few issues coming down the line here....

Just watched a few seconds of last year's Goodwood exit video.
Looks like the same E34 as yesterday, doing the exact same exit.

I'm trying to find videos of yesterday inside the event, seen STG's and one other.

Seen this one?

Somehow made it into both this one and STG's (although the latter was focusing on the car next to me however...)

Yeah im a little unsure as to why they parked me away from them, especially as i arrived with them, that's anybody's guess.

It was a really cool day, some lovely cars and nice and relaxed, the roads on the journey there were great too, even with my ride height it didn't cause me any issues.
Its the first time I've been to Goodwood at all and no doubt I'll be back again next year to a few events.

Having watched that the vast majority of departures were very civilised which is good to see,

A really good morning at Goodwood as usual. Though wish the cretins who feel the need to drive in such an inappropriate manner when leaving would stay away, showing off to their mostly teenage audience. Hope we never have an incident that ruins it for the rest of us, but it's only a matter of time judging by some of what those videos show.

P.S. Would any kind person (or those guys videoing cars on the exit) happen to have a shot of my Z4M Coupe at all? Really wanted a photo to remember the occasion, but entirely forgot to, whilst busy observing everyone
Sorry, just got an arse shot as you were arriving - you must have been a few cars behind me. I'm no photographer and it's just a phone pic... I'll see if I can post it from my phone...oh yes, that seems to have worked. Evidence you were there!

looks like I missed a good event here. A bit like the breakfast clubs of old before they became huge over-subscribed events.

Don’t see much of a problem with a little bit of show boating when leaving to be honest. Nothing OTT and as long as you are in control of your vehicle. It’s part of the joy of owning a car.

Having said that I don’t condone excess speed and idiotic behaviour on the road at all. I’m surprised most of the people complaining about a little bit of exhuberance didn’t make it to the track day the day before. The perfect opportunity to test your limits and those of your vehicle in a controlled and relatively safe environment. Or maybe the naysayers are the sort of car owners that get more pleasure from static car shows than actually using the vehicles for what they were engineered for in the main - in which case I don’t think we’re ever going to see eye to eye on most issues.

You passed me on the way there smile I drive the red WRX, your RX7 looked and sounded awesome and is a real flamethrower! It was the first ever FB i've seen so quite a treat!

My mate's Silvia is limping like a dog at the moment but he was following me there so I had to drive sensibly laugh
