So I was on the original list, well within the 500 limit, but looking at the weather I chose to remove myself off the list as I know others did too. An hour or two later the service was cancelled but there was talk of rescheduling for a different day. I saw that it had been rescheduled and added my name to the list, again well within the 500. Now I've just found out that I've been removed and I'm now on the reserve list at 632?? Just trying to work out if that's fair or not, lol.

In the same boat here unfortunately. It's what we get for being courteous to those on the original reserve list and removing ourselves in good time.

On the plus side, I think there is still every chance you will make it in to the top 500, so long as those that got automatically put on the new list but can't make it do actually notice there's a new list and remove themselves. Perhaps an early email should go out PH?

That's a good point, there's probably people on the new list who don't even know they are on the list, and people who think they are on the new list, and now aren't laugh Well done PH laugh

Yeah I originally booked on the list at number 10 and took my name of last minute as the snow hit hard. But kept my track session just in case Silverstone cancelled which they did.Now I find myself at 550 odd but still have a track session booked can ph staff clarify should I not make the 500 now my session will still be ok as I don't fancy like loosing 45 pounds.

That was clarified about 10 posts ago, if you have a track session booked but are on the reserves list, you're fine.

Without wishing to upset anyone, but here goes with my two pennies worth...

So, add yourself to the SS list (any list, not just Silverstone) and then, hey, take yourself off???? Why... Seems to happen a lot.. BTW, this is a
rhetorical statement.. Please don't reply to this with some rubbish cliche!

e.g.
My mum said I can't go
I'm washing my hair
My car broke
Yawn, yawn...

And I can't believe that the PH staff lay on free (yes FREE!!) access to some amazing venues and some on here bh about it and complain.... WTF!

Massive thumbs up to the PH crew for all their hard work... clap I for one massively appreciate your efforts.....

So a few suddenly find themselves on the reserves list when they was'nt in the place, what goes on there then, i removed myself from one list as it was pretty clear that a cancelled event was on the cards, popped my name down on the second list, only for a mate to tell me that plenty have been regulated to the reserve list, charming

Don't take your name off the list if you think it's going to be cancelled. Lesson learned.

Point taken, but why leave your on the list for an event that is not going to happen, taking my name off made space for those that believed that may still happen, there is no lesson to learn, someone needs to remove their thumb from their balloon knot, it may take you a while to de code that one.

Yep- me too. I removed myself due to the weather, booked back in and was around 150 on the list- now see I am 550?!! Silverstone should be 700 cars- we know lots don't turn up who are booked on so it's frustrating not getting the registration doc when you're only 10% away. I would suggest sending out invites to 15% over the number at all meets so we get full attendance. Mercedes Benz World and BMW have been the only really busy ones in recent memory.

Looking at the PistonHeads track sessions: Is there a reason the 11:55 session is labelled: PISTONHEADS NOVICE CAR TASTER and the other sessions are labelled: PISTONHEADS NOVICE GROUP?

Not sure why it has been labelled that way but no reason, it's definitely still one of ours!

You will easily make it in. I was in the 700s a couple of years ago and got in by the final Saturday lunchtime.
